The programme was held at the Training Unit of the General Manager’s Office, Sri Lanka Railways, on 5th August 2025. The resource person was the well-known Mr. S. T. Bulathsinghala, Chief Internal Auditor of the Election Commission.

A Capacity Development Programme on Workplace Sexual Harassment was held at Hotel Galle Face on 19–20 June 2025 for 60 Workplace Forum members of Sri Lanka Railways. The event was coordinated by the HR Division of the Ministry of Public Administration and facilitated by the International Labour Organization.

Railway Department Instructions and Safety Rules Training Programme

A training programme on Railway Department instructions and safety rules was conducted for the Way and Works Sub-Department work gang on 17th June 2025 at the Railway Headquarters Auditorium.

Mrs. Kaushalya Bandara, Director (Administration), delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Anton Wickramaratne, Chief Supervisory Manager (Permanent Ways), conducted the session on departmental instructions. The session on safety rules was presided over by Mr. P.D.S.B. Chandrasena, Additional General Manager (Operations).

Leadership and Attitude Development Programme – 5th June 2025

A Leadership and Attitude Development Programme was held on 5th June 2025 at the Railway Jermantec premises for secondary officers of the Chief Engineer's Sub Department, Rathmalana. The session was conducted by Mr. Shyam Lalinda Silva, a well-known outbound trainer renowned for his dynamic and engaging training methods.

The programme focused on enhancing leadership skills, building a positive mindset, and promoting effective teamwork. Participants engaged in a series of interactive activities and discussions aimed at self-awareness, communication, and problem-solving.

Several significant moments marked the event, including team challenges that encouraged collaboration, thought-provoking insights shared by Mr. Silva,and enthusiastic participation from all attendees, which contributed to the programme’s sucess.

අද උදෑසන ගල්ඔය - හිඟුරක්ගොඩ අතර 141 වන සැතපුම් කුව අසල දී දුම්රියේ ගැටී වන අලීන් 6ක් මියයාමත් සමඟ ප්‍රවාහන, පරිසර, ඩිජිටල් යන අමාත්‍යංශ, දුම්රිය හා වනජීවි දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහ මීට අදාල ආයතන වල ඉහළ නිලධාරීහු ද විවිධ පරිසර හා වනජීවී සුරකින සංවිධාන ද එක් ව පාර්ල්මේන්තු පරිශ්‍රයේ දී රැස් වූහ. මේ විශේෂ කමිටුව මගින් දීර්ඝ සංවාදයකින් පසු තීරණ රැසක් ගනු ලැබ ඇත.

ඒ අතර,
* අලි අනතුරු බහුල මේ පෙදෙසේ දුම්රිය මඟ දෙපස වඩාත් දෘෂ්‍යමාන වන ලෙස හෙළිපෙහෙළි කිරීම,
* ඩිජිටල් ඇතුළු නව තාක්ෂණ ක්‍රමවේද භාවිත කිරීම,
* මෙය විසඳීමට ප්‍රජා මූල කණ්ඩායම් සෘජුව ම සහභාගී කරවාගැනීම,
* දුම්රිය වල ආලෝක පද්ධතීන් ඉදිරියට මෙන් ම දෙපසටත් විහිදෙන ලෙස සවිකිරීම සහ කහ ආලෝක වෙනුවට සුදු පැහැති ආලෝකය භාවිත කිරීමට සළකා බැලීම
ආදිය මූලික විය.

එමෙන් ම සාකච්ඡාවේ දෙවන අදියර ලෙස අනිද්දා, එනම් පෙබරවාරි 22 වන සෙනසුරාදා උදෑසන මෙම අනතුරු සිදුවන ස්ථානයට උක්ත සියලුම පාර්ශවයන් ගොස් පුළුල් නිරීක්ෂණයක් කර අදාල තීරණත් තවත් යම් සළකා බැලීම් ඇත්නම් ඒවාත් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට සූදානම් ය.

A two-day workshop was held from February 7th, 2025, at the Citrus Hotel in Waskaduwa for 44 union leaders representing 22 unions out of the 84 active trade unions in Sri Lanka Railways. The event was facilitated by the International Labour Organization in coordination with the Ministry of Public Administration. The workshop focused on dispute resolution and improving soft skills.

The General Manager of Railways, Mr. G.I.D. Jayasundara, participated as the chief guest during the first day's special events.

Office Manual Creation Workshop for Marketing, Costing, Planning, and Translation Divisions – Sri Lanka Railways

Sri Lanka Railways recently organized a workshop to facilitate the creation of an office manual for its Marketing, Costing, Planning, and Translation divisions. The event was graced by distinguished guests including the General Manager of Railways, Mr. J.I.D. Jayasundara, and the Additional General Manager (Administration), Mrs. Kusalani de Silva.

Guidance and expertise for the workshop were provided by Mr. Nuwan Kanchana, Deputy General Manager (Administration). The workshop aimed to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure standardized operations across the respective divisions.
