පැණි රස පොල්

පොල් මදය පැණි රසයෙන් යුක්ත නව පොල් වර්ගයක් මිරිස්ස ප්‍රදේශයෙන් මෑතකදී හඳුනා ගන්නා ලදී. මෙය සාමාන්‍ය උස පොල් වර්ගයක් වේ. මෙහි සෑදෙන පොල් ගෙඩි අතරින් බහුතරයක් සාමාන්‍ය පොල් වන අතර 2% ක් පමණ පොල් ගෙඩි වල මදය පැණි රසකින් යුක්ත වේ. පැණි පොල් ගෙඩිය පෙනුමෙන් සාමාන්‍ය පොල් ගෙඩියකට සමාන වුවත් පොල් මදය සාමාන්‍ය පොල් ගෙඩියේ මදයට වඩා තරමක් මෘදු ස්වභාවයක් ගන්නා අතර කෙඳි සහිත ස්වභාවය මදක් අඩු බවක් පෙන්නුම් කරයි.

මෙවැනි පොල් වර්ගයක් ඉන්දියාවෙන්ද හමු වී ඇති අතර ලංකාවෙන් මිරිස්ස ප්‍රදේශයෙන් පළමු වරට හඳුනා ගෙන තිබේ. මෙම ප්‍රදේශයෙන් දැනට හමු වී ඇත්තේ එක් ගසක් පමණි. පැණි පොල් ගෙඩිය පැළ කිරීමට නොහැකිය.
එබැවින් මෙම අලුත් පොල් වර්ගය සංරක්ෂණය කිරීම ඉතා වැදගත් වේ. මේ සඳහා පොල් පර්යේෂණ ආයතනය පටක රෝපණය භාවිතයෙන් පැළ ලබා ගැනීම ආරම්භ කර ඇත.
