As part of the Visitorsโ Programme of the German Federal Foreign Office, Haridhu Abeygoonaratne was invited to take part in a themed trip to Germany ๐ฉ๐ช on โGermany as a Technology and Business Hub,โ following his nomination by the German Embassy. ๐ฑ๐ฐ
During the visit to Berlin, Dresden, and Hannover, participants explored how Germany is advancing in areas such as technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation. The programme also provided opportunities to exchange ideas and gain insights into Germanyโs business and innovation landscape.
As the Second Vice Chairman of Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM), Haridhu highlighted the growing opportunities for collaboration between Germany and Sri Lankaโs IT/BPM sectors:
โThe โGermany as a Technology Hubโ programme has underscored a significant shift: AI is no longer experimental; it is being deployed at scale across various industries.
