This is to share with you about the notice to call for papers of SMART GOV FORUM 2014.

SMART GOV FORUM 2014, the first and foremost South Asian Regional eGovernment Conference organized by Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka will be held from 2nd to 3rd December 2014, in COLOMBO, SRI LANKA. This is going to be a mega event which would attract local and foreign delegates from across South Asian region. The conference will provide an exclusive opportunity for sharing the knowledge, experiences and expertise among the eGovernment practitioners, researchers, academics and other stakeholders in the region through presentation of research findings, paper reviews, case studies and other presentable means.

This is an opportunity for you to come up with your case-studies/research work which would be rated at an international forum.

ICTA together with Department of Motor Traffic, Western Province has successfully rolled out eRL II at all the DSs in Western Province

The centralized e-RL II application enables citizens to renew their revenue license from any Divisional Secretariat (DS) within the western province regardless of which DS the vehicle is registered. This is a major convenience to the citizens.

Rolling out of eRL II at Divisional Secretaries across western province

Our team has successfully rolled out eRL II in Colombo and Gampaha districts. Now, the citizens who have registered their vehicles in western province can renew the revenue license from any Divisional Secretariat (DS) in Colombo and Gampaha districts regardless of which DS the vehicle is originally registered.

Rolling out of eRevenue Licences at to Divisional Secretaries

The centralized e-RL II enables citizens to renew their revenue license from any Divisional Secretaries within the western province regardless of which Divisional Secretaries the vehicle is registered. This is a major convenience to the citizens.
Rolling out of eRL II to Divisional Secretaries in Western Province is now underway. So far the team has successfully rolled out eRL II at following Divisional Secretaries.

The e-RL solution has offered citizens to renew the Revenue License online via www.srilanka.lk by enabling them to renew the license anytime anywhere.

e-Revenue License project was selected as one of the best e-Content project under e-Government category at e-Swabhimani – 2010

The Provincial Department of Motor Traffic of the Western Province (WP-DMT) and Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) developed and implemented web based centralized Motor Vehicle Revenue License issuance system which is known as e-Revenue License system (eRL) for the Western Province as a pilot project. The system was implemented as a pilot project at WP-DMT and Kaduwela, Katana and Panadura Divisional Secretariats (DSs) in 2009, enabling any registered vehicle in Western Province can renew their license from these offices. The system is now being extended to other Divisional secretaries in the Western Province and replicated in other provinces too.
