The National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO) of Sri Lanka is pleased to announce the successful completion of the WIPO-funded Digitization Project, a significant milestone in our journey toward modernizing intellectual property administration and enhancing public access to IP information.

With the invaluable support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the project enabled the digitization of a substantial collection of intellectual property records, improving the preservation, accessibility, and management of IP documentation.

This achievement strengthens NIPO’s commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and technology-driven services to inventors, creators, businesses, and the general public. The digitized records will facilitate faster information retrieval, improved service delivery, and greater accessibility to Sri Lanka’s intellectual property data.

NIPO extends its sincere appreciation to WIPO, all project stakeholders, and the dedicated staff members whose efforts contributed to the successful implementation of this initiative.

Together, we continue building a stronger and more accessible intellectual property ecosystem for Sri Lanka.

🚀 Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we work, play, and think 🤖🧠💡

As AI continues to evolve, an important question arises:
How can we ensure that our people-centered digital infrastructure adapts to this new reality while protecting and rewarding creators and innovators for their valuable work?

To address this challenge, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has launched the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Interchange (AIII) — a new platform that brings together creators, rightsholders, and technical experts to exchange ideas and explore practical solutions related to the technical and operational dimensions of AI and Intellectual Property (IP).

This initiative marks an important step toward building a balanced and inclusive AI ecosystem that supports innovation, creativity, and fair recognition for creators worldwide.
