Southern Sri Lanka’s Tangalle among TripAdvisor’s top 25 honeymoon destinations 2026

In addition to Galle ranked top #5, Sri Lanka has secured another place among the world’s leading 25 honeymoon destinations, in Tripadvisor’s 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Honeymoon Destinations list. That is Tangalle ranked # 22.

According to TripAdvisor, destinations were evaluated based on traveler satisfaction across a range of experiences, including accommodation, scenery, food, culture and overall atmosphere. Travelers have praised Tangalle for its combination of best beaches, coastal charm, access to nature, adventure, wildlife experiences and food. Some of the best beaches on the island can be found here, like Goyambokka Beach, where guests could lie out for hours under the gently swaying palms and some serious adventure activities.
