Exactly one year ago today, on March 3rd, 2025, the heartbreaking news of my father, Chief Zanzan Karwor’s passing spread across social media — from family and friends to radio stations and live broadcasts. It was a day filled with confusion, pain, and countless phone calls, as I had to confront and clarify the rumors that my father was still alive.

Today, by the grace and mercy of God, we give Him all the glory. God rescued my father, and he is alive and healing. What was meant to bring sorrow has become a testimony of faith, hope, and divine intervention.

Long live Chief Zanzan Karwor. Long live his enduring legacy and the lasting impact he continues to make on Liberia and the world at large.

We love you today, and we will love you forever. 🙏❤️

Chief Zanzan Karwor served as National Orator for Liberia’s 176th Independence Day on July 26, 2023, appointed by then President H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah. This was a historic moment in Liberia’s history, as he became the first traditional Chief appointed as National Orator, delivering his address entirely in the Bassa dialect. As Chairman of the National Council of Chiefs and Elders, he called for peace, unity, respect for the electoral process, and recognition of Liberia’s traditional roots and history.
