A new era in India-Oman economic relations begins today with the entry into force of the India-Oman CEPA.
The agreement represents a major step forward in strengthening bilateral economic ties, expanding India’s access to the GCC and broader Middle East region and building on robust trade relations that touched USD 11.18 billion in FY 2025–26.
Backed by strong economic complementarities and a vibrant Indian diaspora of over 6 lakh in Oman, the CEPA is expected to drive exports, improve competitiveness, encourage investment and create new opportunities for sustained economic cooperation and shared prosperity.
