The MoD/AFL Department of Gender and Social Inclusion, in collaboration with the Department of Health Services today concluded celebration of World Menstrual Health and Hygiene Day with activities at the Liberia Coast Guard System and the Gray dd.Allison High School in Monrovia. Our adolescent girls and boys were very participatory and interactive. The program was executed under the MoD/AFL Social Gender Mainstreaming Program: the School Gender Safety Net, organized in four MoD/AFL operated schools in the barracks facilities across he country.

Day two of activities in support of Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD); executed in the EBK Military Barracks, under the auspices of the Department of Gender and Social Inclusion in collaboration with the Department of Health Services, with support from the Ministry of National Defence and the Armed Forces of Liberia. The celebration was implemented through the Gender Safety Net program to provide education on menstrual health and hygiene to adolescent girls and boys in the Linda Thomas Greenfield Junior High School in the EBK Military Barracks.

MOD/AFL Department of Gender and Social Inclusion, in collaboration with the Department of Health Services, commemorates International Menstrual Health and Hygiene Day in Camp Tubman Military Barracks in Gbarnga, B**g County. Adolescent girls and boys were presented with education on menstrual health and Hygiene. The occasion also witnessed the setting up of Students Gender Safety Net in the Camp Tubman Preparatory School and the distribution of safe sanitary pads to adolescent girls in the school. Thanks to the MOD and the Armed Forces of Liberia for support to ensure that we were successful in this mission.

Today, at the Liberia Coast Guard Base School System of the Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia, the Training of Trainers training for Students Gender Safety Net Leadership and School Advisory Committee for the Students Gender Safety Net Leadership was concluded. We were again proud and honored to have, with us a representative from medica Liberia, who provided lecture to the students leadership and school Advisory Committee to the students leadership. The MoD/ AFL Department of Gender and Social Inclusion (DGSI) has now completed the full establishment of Students Gender Safety Nets Leaderships Schools Advisory Committees for the established Safety Nets Leaderships. Thanks to the Ministry of National Defense, the Armed Forces of Liberia, and medica Liberia for the unwavering supports being provided to the DGSI in the implementation of it's gender related programs and activities. DGSI now looks forward to bringing to together all the Safety Nets and the School Advisory Committees for the official launch of the safety Net Program.

Today witnessed day two (2) of the Training of Trainers Training conducted by the Department of Gender and Social Inclusion (DGSI ) of the Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia at the EBK Military Barracks. The training is being conducted on the social gender mainstreaming program of the DGSI on focusses on the establishment of Students Gender Safety Net Leadership and School Advisory Committee for the Gender Safety Net Leadership in MoD/AFL operated schools in MoD/AFL facilities. We were proud to have had medica Liberia, our sponsor, represented with us today.

Pictorials of the Training of Trainers (TOT) Training conducted by the Gender and Social Inclusion Department (DGSI) at the Gray D. Allison High School on today, March 18, 2024. The training was intended to provide knowledge on gender related crimes, sexual health and reproductive rights and the Gender Policy of the Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia. This program is being initiated as social gender mainstreaming approach. It witnessed the establishment of Students Gender Safety Net and School Advisory Committee for the Students Gender Safety Net in the Gray D. Allison High School. The program will continue other Ministry of National Defense and Armed Forces of Liberia operated schools in Edward Beyan Kesselly Barracks and the Liberia Coast Guard Base.
