Summer Series Part 4: A taste of the Moselle region 🍇 💧
The Moselle river is the Luxembourgish border with Germany. Its winding calmness combined with sunshine present a perfect relaxation opportunity for all ages. Join us in discovering some of its hidden gems! 💎
We start off with the Päiperleksgaart Gréiwemaacher (butterfly garden) 🦋. Here, you can not only observe a variety of moths and butterflies, but also reptiles and quails while following a meandering path through water features and over bridges. ⛲
Following this, you could stop at Luxembourg’s only aquarium in Wasserbillig. Although small, it houses 15 beautifully designed tanks with both local and exotic fish such as the pike and the piranha. 🐟 🐠
Saving the best for last, of course the Moselle region is renowned for its wine. Whether you want to take a vineyard and wine cellar stroll and learn about viticulture or attend a wine tasting, the region’s culture can be enjoyed in many ways. 🍷

🌹 We are delighted to see the Alexandra-Princess de Luxembourg® roses, added in 2020 to the rose garden of the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) in Ontario, Canada, so beautifully thriving today! Sincere appreciations to Alex Henderson and his team at RGB for caring so marvelously for them, as well as to Ulrika Laurence, Foreign Trade Counselor of Luxembourg in Ontario, for sourcing these beautiful flowers.
The rose Alexandra-Princess de Luxembourg® was named to honor the 18th birthday of Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, the fourth child and only daughter of TT.RR.HH. the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. It is a robust shrub rose with pink petals and a pleasing strong, sweet fragrance. It blooms in flushes throughout the season, and offers large, glossy and very healthy foliage.
