🔹 Use "due to" after a form of "to be" (is, was, were, etc.) because it acts like an adjective modifying a noun.
✅ The delay was due to technical issues.
✅ The cancellation was due to bad weather.

🔹 Use "because of" to modify a verb.
❌ We missed the deadline due to a server crash. (Incorrect)
✅ We missed the deadline because of a server crash. (Correct!)

💡 Quick Test: If you can replace due to with caused by, it’s correct!
