YaYAS of Citrus County: Providing homeless youths a safe place to sleep, study, & store belongings

25/05/2026

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ As we work to build brighter futures for our youth and community, we do so because of the freedoms protected by those who gave everything in service to our nation.

Today, we pause in gratitude, remembrance, and respect for our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

To the moms who pour their hearts into their children every single day... thank you.
To the first-time moms navigating new beginnings... we celebrate you.
To the grandmothers, aunts, mentors, foster moms, teachers, advocates, and women who step in to fill the void when a child needs guidance, comfort, and unconditional love... thank you for showing up.

And today, we also hold space for those carrying grief in their hearts - those who have lost their mothers, those missing children, and those facing Motherโ€™s Day with quiet pain. Please know you are not alone. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

At YAYAS, we see the impact of compassion, encouragement, and nurturing support every day in the lives of our youth. Sometimes the most powerful thing someone can say is, โ€œ๐ผโ€™๐‘š โ„Ž๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘’ ๐‘“๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ ๐‘ฆ๐‘œ๐‘ข.โ€

Happy Motherโ€™s Day to all who love, lead, mentor, protect, encourage, and care for others like family. Your kindness creates brighter futures. ๐ŸŒท

Right here in Citrus County, there are young adults navigating life without the stability and support most of us take for granted. For those aging out of foster care, the transition to independence can be overwhelming, and thatโ€™s where YAYAS steps in.

We are committed to creating a safe, supportive space for young adults through our vision for a Young Adult Shelter because no one should have to figure it all out alone.

Foster care awareness isnโ€™t just about recognizing the need, itโ€™s about taking action. Itโ€™s about community. Itโ€™s about showing up.

โœจ You can make a difference:
โœ…๏ธ Share this message
โœ…๏ธ Get involved
โœ…๏ธ Support local efforts
โœ…๏ธ Be a voice for those who need one

Together, we can build a stronger, more supportive Citrus County - one young life at a time.
