Europe’s air quality is improving but pollution remains nevertheless the biggest environmental health risk across the continent. 🌍
According to the 2026 European Environment Agency report, more than 9 in 10 Europeans are still exposed to pollution levels above World Health Organization guidelines. Fine particles, ground-level ozone and traffic-related pollution continue to affect health and the quality of life.
The good news? Many regions are already moving closer to the EU’s stricter 2030 air quality targets, showing that cleaner air is possible with the right action. Cleaner transport, lower emissions and smarter urban policies mean healthier lives and fewer pollution-related illnesses!

To seize the opportunities the EU offers, citizens and businesses need clear, accessible information in their language. To support this mission, we are looking for several new colleagues to join our teams at the Publications Office of the European Union.
In our Language-Quality Services unit, we are recruiting a Danish and an English Language Editor who will deliver proofreading and editing services to a wide range of EU institutions and agencies. Our Language Editors play a crucial role in the final review of a written piece before publishing, making sure that the text and the publication are flawless for all to read.
We are also looking for two assistants in our ‘TED and EU Public Procurement’ unit.
As an Information Systems Assistant, you would coordinate a small team of IT project managers and DevSecOps specialists. This is a hands-on operational role focused on ensuring smooth collaboration across projects, supporting project managers, and helping developments progress according to plan.
As a Knowledge Management Assistant, you would support and coordinate TED eSenders — organisations providing eProcurement services to public buyers and transmitting procurement notices to the Publications Office. The role also includes coordinating eSender workshops and contributing to data quality and the continuous improvement of TED services.
