လၽွပ္စစ္ဓာတ္အားသည္လူမွုေရးႏွင့္စီးပြားေရးဖြံ့ၿဖိဳးတိုးတက္ေရးအတြက္ မရွိမျဖစ္အေရးႀကီးေသာ အဓိအေျခခံအေဆာက္အဦျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ထို႔အတူ မ်ားစြာက်ယ္ျပန္႔ေသာနယ္ပယ္မ်ားအထိ သက္ေရာက္မွု ရွိၿပီး လၽွပ္စစ္ဓာတ္အားမွ ရရွိသည့္ ဝန္ေဆာင္မွုမ်ားႏွင့္အတူ လူမွုေနထိုင္မွုဘ၀၊ အလုပ္သမားကုန္ထုတ္ စြမ္းအားႏွင့္ စြန္ဦးဖန္တီး အသက္ေမြးစီးပြားေရးလုပ္ငန္းမ်ားကိုလည္း မ်ားစြာ အေထာက္အကူျဖစ္ေစ ပါသည္။ ထို႔အတူ အေျခခံလူမွုဝန္ေဆာင္မွုမ်ားျဖစ္တဲ့ ပညာေရး၊ က်န္းမာေရးေစာင့္ေရွာက္မွု၊ ေရေပးေဝ ေရးႏွင့္ သန႔္ရွင္းမွုမ်ားအတြက္လည္း မ်ားစြာအေရးႀကီးသည့္ စြမ္းအင္တစ္ရပ္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ဤသို႔ေသာ က႑ေပါင္းစုံအတြက္ အေထာက္အပံ့ေပးနိုင္သည့္ ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံရဲ့ လၽွပ္စစ္ႏွင့္ စြမ္းအင္က႑ ဖြံ့ၿဖိဳးတိုးတက္ေရးအတြက္ နိုင္ငံေတာ္အစိုးရ အေနနဲ႔ အင္တိုက္အားတိုက္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ လ်က္ရွိရာမွာ လၽွပ္စစ္ႏွင့္စြမ္းအင္ဝန္ႀကီး ဌာနအေနနဲ႔ ကုန္းတြင္းႏွင့္ ကမ္းလြန္မွ အလားအလာရွိတဲ့ စြမ္းအင္အရင္းျမစ္မ်ားကို ရွာေဖြၿပီး တစ္နိုင္ငံလုံး ျပည့္စုံလုံေလာက္တဲ့ လၽွပ္စစ္ဓာတ္အား ရရွိေရး ေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရွိပါတယ္။ *******************************************************************

As a key infrastructure component, electricity is vital to social and economic development. Its support of wide-ranging activities and services improves quality of life, increases labour productivity, and encourages entrepreneurial activity. And it is a key input in economic production, making goods and services across all economic sectors possible. It is also vital to basic social services such as education, healthcare, clean water supply, and sanitation. Ministry of Electricity and Energy, therefore, has been striving its all of efforts, as a drive to nationwide electrification program, to make electricity adequately available with a full strength exploiting all of the resources which can be available onshore as well as offshore for the development of electricity and energy sector.
