Prime Minister N. Uchral met newly appointed ambassadors and urged them to adopt a more pragmatic and proactive approach as global relations and the international order evolve.
He said envoys should move beyond traditional methods and align with modern trends, with a focus on delivering concrete outcomes.
Prime Minister also called on ambassadors to closely track developments in areas such as outer space, artificial intelligence and rare earth elements, and to work actively to advance cooperation in these sectors.
The government has scrapped permit requirements for 146 business activities to ease entry for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Prime Minister N. Uchral on Monday instructed Health Minister E. Batshugar to reform the opaque salary system for healthcare workers.
The government had previously approved a 75% pay increase by 2026, with 30% already in effect.
Most allowances, except overtime, are currently calculated based on pre-increase salaries. Prime Minister instructed the Health Minister to address this so that all additional payments are calculated based on updated salary levels.

Prime Minister of Mongolia Uchral Nyam-Osor today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Alexey Nikolayevich Yevsikov and reaffirmed Mongolia’s commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation.
The parties discussed cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, including the forthcoming signing of an additional protocol to the intergovernmental agreement on the supply of aviation fuel.
The Prime Minister noted that rising global fuel prices, linked to developments in the Middle East, are poised to affect key sectors of Mongolia’s economy, and expressed Mongolia’s interest in securing petroleum products under preferential terms.
They also exchanged views on expanding cooperation in priority areas as the two countries mark the 105th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Mongolia used about 1 million tons of steel in 2025, with demand seen rising to 1.7 million tons by 2030.
The government will launch an international tender for a steel plant, with the selection process to be completed by the 27th of next month.
The project aims to meet about 70% of domestic demand and cut imports.

A total of 9,376 inspections planned for 2026 have been canceled.
Inspections will be conducted only in cases involving risks to public health or the environment, or in response to citizens’ complaints.
No undue burden will be imposed on businesses.

Prime Minister N. Uchral met officials to review measures supporting business activity and outlined further reforms.
He said the government has temporarily unfrozen the accounts of 12,100 companies with tax debt and 6,042 firms with outstanding social insurance contributions to support economic activity.
The Prime Minister proposed VAT exemptions for businesses with annual sales below 400 million MNT and the abolition of a 2% tax on immovable property, instructing officials to include the measures in draft tax law amendments.

On March 6, during the first cabinet meeting of the newly formed government, Prime Minister N.Uchral ordered the lifting of restrictions on bank accounts belonging to 12,100 companies that had been frozen due to tax debt, in order to support business activity.
Accordingly, the bank accounts of 12,100 companies with tax debt and 6,042 companies with outstanding social insurance contributions have been unfrozen.
The companies have agreed to repay their debts in accordance with an approved payment schedule.

Uchral Nyam-Osor, the 35th Prime Minister of Mongolia, has appointed Cabinet members in accordance with the Constitution and relevant laws.
He said the appointments come amid fuel disruptions, rising prices, shortages, and inflation. Stressing that ministerial roles carry responsibility, not privilege, he urged ministers to act decisively and turn challenges into solutions.
The Prime Minister also called for strong leadership, effective implementation of government policies, and strict adherence to ethics, accountability, and integrity, free from corruption and conflicts of interest.
