We were pleased to welcome Thomas Ohr, Founder of EU-Startups, to Malta as we continue strengthening our collaboration ahead of the 𝐄𝐔-𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭, taking place in Malta on 7–8 𝐌𝐚𝐲.

As part of the Students Programme held during Start Up Festival Malta 2025, organised in collaboration with Transport Malta and Agenzija Żgħażagħ, we also welcomed several leading MROs to showcase the world of aviation to participating students ⭐

easyJet Engineering Malta, Lufthansa Technik Malta, Medavia - Mediterranean Aviation Co. Ltd., and Ryanair/Malta Air offered valuable insights into their work, helping students discover potential career paths and gain a deeper understanding of opportunities within the aviation sector ✈

This year’s edition of the Start Up Festival Malta offered participants the chance to explore innovation first hand. From a VR Experience organised by Wevr, to the adrenaline-fueled Racing Simulator Experience by World Pro Racing. 🏁🕶

Both of these experiences showcased the power of technology, creativity, and collaboration within Malta’s growing digital and entertainment industries. 🇲🇹🚀

Wevr is coming to Malta! 🎬🌍

Announced during Start-Up Festival Malta 2025, Wevr - the Los Angeles-based studio behind award-winning immersive experiences - has chosen Malta as the home of its European Creative Studio.

This move marks a major milestone for Malta’s creative and digital industries, further positioning the island as a hub for innovation, film, gaming, and immersive entertainment.

Backed by Malta Enterprise, Wevr’s new Talent Residency program will bring together international creators and local talent, fostering collaboration and new opportunities within Malta’s vibrant ecosystem. 🇲🇹
