🎭📚 Russian House in Valletta hosted a delightful Pushkin Salon, offering an enchanting evening of poetry, music, and theatre. ✨
🌿 The centrepiece of the programme was a theatrical adaptation of Alexander Pushkin’s beloved tale "The Lady Peasant", inviting the audience to experience the timeless charm of Russian classical literature and its memorable characters.
🎶 Adding to the magic of the evening were musical settings of Pushkin’s poetry, beautifully performed by distinguished Maltese artists. Joseph Lia gave a moving interpretation of "My Heart Burns with the Fire of Desire", the talented young Michael Vella Gatt touched the audience with "I Loved You", while Olga Agafonova captivated the audience with her performances of "I Remember a Wonderful Moment" and "To the Fountain of the Bakhchisarai Palace". 🎼💖
👏 Special appreciation goes to the accompanists: Irina Pereverzeva, Alena Vella, and Leonid Slavinsky, whose artistry and sensitive musicianship helped create the evening’s warm and intimate atmosphere.
🎬 The programme was further enriched by selected scenes from the 1995 film adaptation of "The Lady Peasant", giving guests a fresh perspective on one of Pushkin’s most cherished works.
🤝 Once again, the Pushkin Salon brought together lovers of Russian culture, literature, and music, creating an inspiring space for artistic exchange and shared appreciation. ✨
