Experts estimate that only 1 in 4 victims of human trafficking are ever identified and rescued.

That means the majority remain invisible— trapped in forced labor, sexual exploitation, or other forms of modern slavery without anyone recognizing what is happening.

Human trafficking is designed to stay hidden. Victims are isolated. Stories are silenced. Systems fail to detect what’s happening in plain sight.

"Human Trafficking Exposed" reveals how traffickers operate, and why education and awareness are critical to stopping them. Because if we don’t understand what this crime looks like, we can’t stop it.

We’re honored to share this endorsement of Human Trafficking Exposed from Tatiana Kotlyarenko, Human Rights Independent Consultant, and long-time expert in the fight against human trafficking.

In her review, she writes:
“Human Trafficking Exposed brings the realities of human trafficking into focus through powerful survivor narratives… humanising victims and clearly demonstrating how trafficking operates as an organised crime driven by deception, coercion, and abuse of vulnerability.”

In her full review, Kotlyarenko also highlights the book’s survivor-centered approach, noting that amplifying lived experiences is essential to strengthening global understanding of trafficking and the urgent need for prevention, protection, and justice.

Recognition from experts who have spent decades working to combat trafficking reinforces the importance of continuing to shine a light on this issue.

Behind every statistic is a human life, and every voice shared brings us closer to awareness and action.

Human trafficking doesn’t thrive in the shadows alone. It survives because it’s ignored, minimized, or normalized — especially when wealth and influence are involved. Globally, an estimated 50 million people are trapped in modern slavery today. This isn’t rare. It isn’t fringe. It’s systemic.

In "Human Trafficking Exposed," Maxwell Matewere draws on decades of real cases to show how trafficking networks operate, who they target, and how easily exploitation is hidden behind “opportunity,” "prestige," or power.

Knowledge is power. Read the book now:
