Today, on this , the EU stands firm alongside Malawi as we jointly underline that human rights belong to everyone, everywhere, every single day.

“We all want the same things: safety, dignity and freedom”, said UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker TĂŒrk, “human rights are essential for our common humanity”.

We commend Malawi for the progress made in the field of human rights over the last years, as evidenced by its recent 4th Universal Periodic Review, and together we will continue defending human rights globally.
