You are invited to a free educational class on Day of the Dead tradition on Thursday Octobe 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The workshop will delve into the meaning and history of Día de los Mu***os, a holiday that dates to pre-Hispanic times and remains a symbol of love, remembrance, and celebration of life. Participants will also learn how to build traditional altars, or ofrendas, a key element of the holiday. Registration at [email protected]

This is the Art Sale you don't want to miss! Children from the Lakeside Communities have been participating in The Annual Summer Art Program, celebrating it's 70th Year! These budding artists will have their works displayed and for sale at The Lake Chapala Society next Saturday, August 3rd, from 10AM to 1PM. This may be your opportunity to purchase the work of the next Jesus López Vega or Mario Ramirez; and, to provide wonderful support and encouragement for these students.
The children receive half of the proceeds of the sale of their work, with the balance used to purchase art supplies for future classes. Your presence and support will make such a tremendous difference for them. Be their Catalyst to an amazing artistic career!

🎨✨ Exciting News! Our Art Camp for kids is officially underway, with over 180 children participating in 12 diverse workshops! 🌟 Nearly 20 incredible volunteers are coordinating everything to make this a memorable experience.

We warmly invite the community to join us and bring cookies or cupcakes to complement the lunch that LCS offers after the activities. 🍪🧁

The camp runs from 10 am to 12 pm and will conclude this Friday. Come support our young artists and enjoy a fun-filled week of creativity!

Join us for Intercambio at the Wilkes Biblioteca every Wednesday between 4 and 6 PM. Practice your Spanish with native Spanish speakers and help them learn and understand English!
