Aunty Goes on Rampage in Sungai Long, Assaults UTAR Students & Police Officers After Parking Illegally

An aunty went on a rampage outside of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Sungai Long, Selangor, yesterday (August 3), which gathered a huge crowd of onlookers.

It all started when the aunty had parked her car illegally outside of the university’s campus, which led to her vehicle getting clamped by the authorities.

According to a post shared by a netizen to the page, the authorities had asked the aunty to pay a fine in order to have the clamp removed, but she refused and caused a commotion by honking her horn. While the local authorities waited patiently for the aunty to pay the fine, she had then apparently rolled down her window to ask an anonymous netizen for help. But, when the netizen didn’t help her, she brandished the middle finger.

When she realised that no one was going to help her, she then allegedly threw money for the fine out her window, onto the ground and started hurling insults towards the authorities.

The officers, who refused to accept her disrespect, requested for her to pick up the money but the aunty instead got down from her car and approached a nearby student, who was conducting a street interview for her assignment, and asked if she could borrow the student’s phone. “Can I borrow your phone, I need to call my daughter,” the woman could be heard saying as she interrupted the street interview. Someone else approached the aunty, to which she responded, “I’m not talking to you, go away, go away.”

When the student refused to allow the aunty to use her phone, the aunty grabbed the phone from the student’s hand and threw it onto the road.

Based on a post by the netizen, the aunty then headed into a coffee shop nearby while the local authorities at the scene called the police.

When the police approached the aunty, she apparently rudely asked them to remove their helmets and masks to show their faces in a sign of respect to her. She also refused to cooperate with them, saying that she was hungry and wanted to go home. The student who had her phone grabbed and thrown onto the road was asked to identify the aunty and describe the situation to the police and when she did, the aunty yelled at her and slapped her.

The aunty then returned to her car and locked herself inside to avoid being questioned, but not before smacking one of the police officers with a sun visor and throwing a sock at him.

Considering the fact that the aunty refused to cooperate, the officers had no choice but to increase their force and finally managed to detain her and take her to the police station for further investigations.

The crowd of onlookers erupted in cheers as the officers drove off with the aunty and her car.

The entire situation managed to gather a huge crowd of onlookers who recorded the scene as it unfolded. Among the aunty’s actions that were caught on camera include her grabbing and throwing the student’s phone, her swearing at the authorities and onlookers, her slapping the victim as well as her assaulting the police officers.

Kajang 加影

Kajang (Jawi: كاجڠ) (Chinese: 加影) (Tamil: காஜாங்) is a town in southeastern Selangor, Malaysia. It is located 20 km southeast of downtown Kuala Lumpur, in the coterminous mukim (commune) of Kajang in the Hulu Langat District.

ORIGINS OF THE NAME KAJANG

The word Kajang origins from these few sources:

First Opinion :
It is believed that Kajang was discovered by the Temuan tribes around the year 1580. This tribe was said to had given the name Kajang based on screwpine plant that can be used to make canopy for shelter that was discovered everywhere in the area.

Second Opinion :
Batin Berenggai Besi was the lord of Sungai Ujong. He used to build small shelter houses around the riverbanks in Kajang by using screwpine as the roof for the houses. Then he concluded that this place is suitable to be made a settlement. So the Kajang name was born due to the shape of the rooftop of the houses built during the early settlement.

Third Opinion :
According to a story, the word 'berkajang' for Mendailing people means, to shelter with. While for Bugis people, it means 'fight or brawl'. These two tribes once had a dispute at one of the hills in front of the current railstation because of the misunderstanding of the word 'berkajang'. This event occured when these two tribes were going to the headstream of Sg. Langat when running away from the Klang civil war around 1867 to 1873. After that event, this place is known as Kajang.

Fourth Opinion :
There are other sources that said Kajang was opened by Encik Lili also known as Toh Lili who came from Riau in 1776. He was the follower of Sultan Mohamed Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Ibrahim Shah who originated from Riau. With the permission from Sultan, he with the other six of his friends had opened a land for padi field at Bukit Sg. Merbau and opened a @ Sungai Merbau which is now known as KAJANG.

Fifth Opinion :
Raja Alang from the Mandailing tribe alongside a group of his people came to Tanah Melayu in the early 1800. This group sailed to Tanah Melayu through river confluent of Sungai Langat. After a few days of sailing, they took a shelter or 'berkajang' at a place now called as Jalan Mandailing. Some of Raja Alam followers had discovered the area of today Kampung Batu 14 by paddy plantation . Their settlement is finally been made famous with the name Kajang by Raja Alam.
