THE PHILIPPINE'S CLAIM OVER THE STATE OF SABAH

To begin with, Soka Soka was is the ancient as well as original name of the North Borneo, later known as Api Api and subsequently , after the arrival of the British , it was once again changed its new name to Jesselton, as for now it is officially known as Sabah.

This matter has been discussed for a long time everywhere, even on social media, I am not in the position to object to the Philippine Government's demand over the State of Sabah, nevertheless I am more concerned with the fate of the people in Sulu, Mindanao particularly,
due to the socio-economic backwardness and shortage of insfractural facilities.

In this regard, the Government of Philippine should pay attention to the development in Sulu and Mindanao, the matter has been very paramount while the country is facing an economic crisis due to the outbreak of Covid19 pandemic.
As a result, the unsettled as well as constant demand over the State of Sabah would be dragging the both countries into unresolved problems as well as affecting the existing diplomatic ties between the countries. In addition to that, it will switch-off the entry of foreign investors to the Philippine itself.

In this case, I strongly urge the government should be focussing to the economic recovery of the Sulu Mindanao or BARMM, and do not give much time to the matter which does not necessarily have an amicable solution.

Let the State of Sabah be managed by the people of Sabah themselves, there is no need for us to think about intervention or claims that could ruin the existing good relations between Malaysians which had been established over years.

We all indeed love our country, the Philippines, that is why we must maintain bilateral relations between any countries in Asia, in order to attract foreign investors to come to the Philippines. If we are busy to focus on the unresolved problems then potential foreign investors will direct their investments to other countries that are less risky and no crisis.

The Philippines should study carefully over the demands on the State of Sabah, do we have enough evidence to win over the demand? Obtaining the victory or just put away an issue that could ruin the diplomatic relations.

The Deed of Sabah Agreement which was signed by The His Majesty Sultan Jamalul Azham on the 22nd February 1876 shown that the State of Sabah belongs to the His Majesty Sultan of Sulu, do we study it thoroughly so that we are not lulled into a dream.

My question here is I apologize if I made a mistake.
Before The Deed of Sabah 1876 was signed, did the Sultanate of Sulu already have a Grant of Ownership over Sabah (Grant of Title of Ownership) or only as the claimant promised by the Sultan of Brunei? This fact should be studied or this agreement is made only to reveal the crisis of the Sultan of Sulu's claim over the State of Sabah, Sykt East Indies (VOC) take detailed steps so that there is no turmoil then the Agreement and payment of the cession money to the Sultan of Sulu for 5,000 American Dollars. Is this a lease or just want to resolve the issue so that there is no crisis because the British at that time wanted to develop Jesselton.
I do hope that the Philippine Government can rethink of the fate of the people of Sulu in Sabah, because every inches that were thrown then the undocumented Sulu peoples who have lived in Sabah for a long time will be the victims of the unresolved issues, escaped themselves to the jungles because they want to shelter them of being caught by the enforcement. Finally the Government should solve the issue on the documentation of Sulu peoples in Sabah so that they can work well as well as live and not to find a shortcut over the matters.
