Not every partnership is measured in volume, some are measured in what they make possible.

We're honoured to share that has chosen our community-made upcycled products, handcrafted by women in our programme who are rebuilding their livelihoods one stitch at a time.

Each piece is made from recovered plastic that would otherwise be discarded, transformed into something functional, beautiful, and full of purpose.

When you choose our products, you're not just making a purchase. You're choosing craft over convenience, and people over profit, and a future where nothing, and no one, gets left behind.

Thank you, , for seeing the value in materials and people that are often overlooked. And to anyone looking for a more meaningful way to consume, this is it.

Starting a new project with a community is never easy.

In the beginning, there are more questions than answers. Progress feels slow. Things can get messy. And every small step forward takes more effort than anyone outside can see.

But the Pudu community stayed. Patient. Supportive. Believing in something that was still taking shape.

We chose to move slowly, not because we had to, but because we wanted to get it right. To build something meaningful. Something that would truly last and benefit everyone.

And to our client, thank you for trusting us, even in our messiest moments. That trust meant everything.

And then, one day, it happens.
They don’t need us the same way anymore.

They begin to stand on their own. To grow. To lead.

That moment… it’s hard to describe.
There are tears. There is joy. There is pride.

Because it was never just about building a project.
It was about building people.

And in the end, those shared moments make every challenge along the way worth it 🤍

There are collaborations that come from strategy.
And then there are those that come from something deeper: shared values, shared journeys.

Our story with goes way back to . A space filled with energy, creativity, and connection. When the programme came to an end, it felt like something meaningful was left unfinished.

But some stories find their way back.

When approached us to co-create a sustainable gift together with her daughter, ,an incredibly talented artist, there wasn’t a moment of hesitation. This wasn’t just a project. It was a continuation of something we believed in.

Together with , this collaboration brings art, sustainability, and community into one piece.

The coaster itself is made by Nature Loop,
giving new life to materials through thoughtful design.

The artwork printed on each piece is by Izzati,
each one carrying her unique expression and perspective.

And completing it, the packaging is handcrafted by our mothers’ group, transforming discarded materials into something purposeful and beautiful.

If you’re a company rethinking what your gifts should stand for, this is your invitation.

Let’s move beyond generic, forgettable. merchandise, and co-create something that carries real stories, real people, and real impact.

Drop us a message to start the conversation.

When an event ends, the banners usually disappear quietly.

This time, one of 's event banners came to our studio instead.

Our community spent the next few weeks carefully cleaning, cutting and sewing the material. What was once a large banner slowly turned into 1,000 mini tote bags.

For the women in our programme, every piece meant a bit of work and a bit of income generated from something that would otherwise have been discarded.

We also know that turning banners into bags isn’t the perfect solution to event waste. But for materials that already exist, sometimes the best we can do is give them a second life before they eventually reach the end of it.

Grateful for partners who are open to trying small alternatives like this, where waste can be stretched a little further, and where the process creates some livelihood along the way.

In mid Jan, we had the joy of welcoming 168 seven-year-olds from Garden International School to explore the PJ Eco Recycling Plaza and try their hands at plastic keychain weaving. They learned about plastic, especially the tricky multilayer kind, and why understanding waste matters.

We were joined by Kak Ita from PPR Lembah Subang 2 and , whose support and stories showed the kids the power of community action.

On day one, we noticed many kids struggling with scissors and folding the plastic. Our first instinct? To jump in and help: make it faster, make it easier. But the principal stopped us.

And in that moment, we remembered: this is not about finishing the work, it’s about the journey. Letting the kids fail, succeed, fumble, and figure it out themselves was the real lesson. Every cut, every fold, every imperfect loop was a chance to learn resilience, patience, and creativity.

By the end of each session, the transformation was magical. Not just the keychains, but the confidence, the smiles, the “I did it myself!” moments. 💚

Sometimes, the best impact isn’t in what we do for children, but in what we let them do for themselves.

Thank you, Garden International School, for trusting us to guide these little eco-warriors on their first steps toward understanding sustainability, and thank you to Kak Ita and Yuri for making this journey richer.

From Meeting to Making

We first met at an event in Intermark Mall. Right after the event, they reached out and placed an order, showing their support for our community.

On 5 Jan 2026, we completed their order: 9 carry bags, 30 ID holders, 30 keychain loops

Though it was a small order, it made a big difference. Together, the team upcycled almost 2.75 kg of plastic, that’s the equivalent of 550 single-use plastic bags being saved from landfills and rivers!

Behind every stitch, cut, and press were 7 incredible women from our community, transforming discarded plastic into useful, meaningful creations, while earning income and gaining confidence.

This is what community-driven sustainability looks like: small acts of support can ripple out into impact for both people and planet.

We’ve just completed 600 pouches for

In the process, 15.4 kg of discarded plastic bags were upcycled, roughly equivalent to 1,500–2,000 thin plastic shopping bags that would otherwise have been used once, then forgotten.

But this project was never just about the numbers.
Behind these pouches are 7 women from lower-income communities, who washed, cut, stitched, and checked every piece by hand. This wasn’t mass production, it was slow, careful work, done with patience and skill built over time.

Our journey with Monash began last year, when we were introduced through . Soon after, we were invited into the classroom to share honestly with students about plastic, waste, and the uncomfortable realities behind “recycling.”
This year, Monash came back with a simple intention: to give their students something meaningful.

After months of conversations, prototyping, and production, here we are.

These 600 pouches are a reminder that real impact: 🌱 takes time
🌱 requires relationships
🌱 and is built by people

Thank you for choosing to walk this journey with us, thoughtfully, critically, and with communities at the centre.

Every plastic bag has a story. Instead of ending up in rivers or landfills, yours can become something useful, beautiful, and empowering.

At .makers , we train mothers from low-income communities to upcycle plastic bags into new products, giving waste a second life and creating real income for families.

What we take: Clean & dry soft plastic bags — shopping bags, courier mailers, bread bags, fruit/vege bags.
📍 Drop-off:

This isn’t just a collection drive, it’s a movement of possibilities.
One bag can start a ripple of change.

💚 Let’s reimagine plastic, and community together.

Another very long overdue post, but one that’s close to our hearts. 💛

A huge thank you to ’s CSR Day for inviting us to conduct three upcycling workshops at Rumah Hope.

What made this day truly special wasn’t just the activity itself, but who stood at the front of the room.

Four of our mothers stepped up to facilitate the sessions: guiding, teaching, and inspiring the children with so much patience and heart. Some of them have facilitated before, but each time we see them lead, we’re reminded of how far they’ve come: from learning the craft, to shaping it into a livelihood, to now sharing their skills with others. Their confidence and presence made the room come alive.

And this wasn’t just another CSR day.
Maybank didn’t just host a workshop, they opened a door.

A door that allowed our mothers to continue building their facilitation skills and be recognised as artisans and leaders.

A door that connected us with Rumah Hope, where we can already envision meaningful collaborations ahead to empower marginalised youth through creativity, skills, and community.

We’re also deeply grateful to , who generously co-conducted one of the paper upcycling workshops with us. Your energy, kindness, and willingness to jump in made the day even more memorable for the children.

To Maybank, to Rumah Hope, to our mothers, to all who showed up, thank you for believing that empowerment happens when we create opportunities, not charity.

Here’s to more partnerships that honour people, skills, and possibilities.

2,567 single-use plastic bags… given a second life!

A belated but heartfelt thank you to for supporting our plastic upcycled products at ACEF. 💚

Behind every card holder and toiletries bag is a story of resilience, creativity, and hope:

13 community members, mostly women, gained skills, confidence, and extra income.

17 student volunteers rolled up their sleeves to sort and clean plastics, turning waste into something meaningful.

Each product is a symbol of possibility, dignity, and change. Every small action counts, but our journey doesn’t stop here, together, we can rethink how plastic is valued and used, for the good of people, planet, and community.

Thank you, KWAP, for being part of this journey!

Once, it was just a plastic wrapper
used for a moment, then thrown away,
floating through our rivers, our streets, our lives.

We picked it up, cleaned it, and gave it another chance.
Layer by layer, it became something new
an ID holder that now carries stories instead of waste.

Each piece is handmade by mothers from our community,
women who’ve learned to turn plastic into purpose,
and in the process, discovered strength in their own hands.

Maybe it’s just a small thing.
But in every stitch, there’s hope
that we can all see beauty in what’s been forgotten.

💚 A rethink journey, between us and the plastic we once threw away.
