*KUALA LUMPUR, 18 May 2026* – The Director General of the RMN Sea Power Centre (RMN SPC), Captain Sugenderan a/l Nagalan RMN, paid a courtesy call to the Chief Executive of the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS), Rear Admiral Datuk Yusne bin Hj Mokhtar today.
The visit provided an excellent platform for constructive engagement between the two key think tank organisations. Discussions centered on strategic maritime matters vital to MINDEF and the RMN, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a Maritime Nation. The discussion emphasised enhancing collaborative insights and driving future joint contributions, particularly for the upcoming Malaysia Maritime Conference at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA).
The dialogue also highlighted the importance of continuous engagement with both local and international institutions to foster robust knowledge exchange and collaboration in maritime strategic affairs.
The visit concluded with a token exchange, symbolising strong professional ties and a mutual commitment to shared strategic goals.

Strengthening Maritime Thought and Strategic Collaboration 🇲🇾🤝🇦🇺
The RMN SPC delegation continued its official visit to HMAS Creswell, engaging in high-level discussions with the Director of SPC-A, Capt Bernard R. Dobson RAN. The meeting focused on future cooperation and strategic maritime discourse, reinforcing the strong professional ties between our two Sea Power Centres.
A key highlight was the presentation by the Director General of RMN SPC to the New Entry Officer Course (NEOC) . Titled " Sea Power Matters to Malaysia," the session underscored the vital role of maritime strength in safeguarding Malaysia’s national interests and its identity as a maritime nation.
The day concluded with a visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at HMAS Albatross. The visit provided valuable insights into museum management practices, naval heritage preservation, and approaches towards historical conservation, in support of ongoing efforts to strengthen maritime historical awareness and institutional heritage within the Royal Malaysian Navy.

Strengthening Naval History and Maritime Heritage: RMN SPC Engagement with SPC-A in Sydney
The RMN Sea Power Centre (RMN SPC) is currently conducting a strategic engagement visit with the Sea Power Centre – Australia (SPC-A) in Sydney.
The program commenced with an immersive historical tour of Sydney Harbour and Garden Island, led by the Naval Historical Society of Australia (NHSA). This was followed by a visit to HMAS Kuttabul and the Heritage Centre, offering deep insights into Australia's world-class naval preservation and institutional heritage management.
This engagement serves as a vital platform for professional exchange on enhancing the management and preservation of RMN history, including naval heritage and artefact.

7 Mei 2026 – Memperkukuh kerjasama strategik antara PUSMAS TLDM dan Air Warfare Centre (AWC)
Pusat Strategi Maritim dan Sejarah (PUSMAS) TLDM telah melaksanakan lawatan kerja ke Air Warfare Centre (AWC), Markas Pemerintahan Operasi Udara (MPOU), Pangkalan TUDM Subang hari ini.
Ketibaan delegasi PUSMAS TLDM telah disambut oleh Komander AWC, Kol Abdul Rahim bin Jusoh TUDM. Delegasi seterusnya diberikan taklimat mengenai fungsi, organisasi dan pengoperasian AWC serta berpeluang meninjau fasiliti dan keupayaan pusat tersebut.
Lawatan ini bertujuan memperkukuhkan hubungan strategik serta berkongsi pengetahuan dan amalan terbaik berkaitan pengurusan strategik dan operasi antara kedua-dua organisasi. Inisiatif seumpama ini diyakini mampu meningkatkan kerjasama antara kedua-dua pusat dalam mendukung kesiagaan operasi maritim dan udara negara secara bersepadu.

24 Februari 2026 – Ketua Pengarah Pusat Strategi Maritim dan Sejarah TLDM (PUSMAS TLDM), P/Kept Sugenderan a/l Nagalan TLDM, telah mengadakan Kunjungan Hormat kepada Panglima Pasukan Simpanan TLDM, Laksamana Pertama Mohd Hasnan bin Mohd Hanafiah, di Markas Pasukan Simpanan TLDM Johor hari ini.
Kunjungan hormat ini bertujuan memperkukuh hubungan dan mempererat jalinan kerjasama antara PUSMAS TLDM dan Markas Pasukan Simpanan TLDM.
Selain itu, lawatan turut memfokuskan kepada perancangan dan pelaksanaan Seminar Maritim Negara yang akan datang, sebagai platform memperluas wacana strategik dan memperkukuh pemikiran maritim dalam kalangan warga pertahanan dan pemegang taruh berkepentingan.
Kunjungan ini mencerminkan komitmen berterusan PUSMAS TLDM dalam memperkukuh sinergi strategik dan usaha memperkasa agenda Malaysia sebagai sebuah Negara Maritim.

20 February 2026 – The Director General of the RMN Sea Power Centre (RMN SPC), Captain Sugenderan a/l Nagalan RMN, paid a Courtesy Call to the Director General of the Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division, Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), Rear Admiral Dato’ Fadhil bin Abdul Rahman.
The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for constructive discussions on strategic matters concerning RMN SPC. As a former Director General of RMN SPC, Rear Admiral Dato’ Fadhil shared valuable insights on the establishment, original intent and strategic direction of RMN SPC within the RMN.
He also offered key advice to further strengthen RMN SPC relevance and global visibility. Among the important recommendations highlighted was the need for continuous engagement with both local and international institutions to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration in maritime strategic affairs.
The visit concluded with a token exchange between both parties, symbolising continued professional ties and mutual support.
