一件瓷器，如何从中国走向世界？
千百年前，满载瓷器的商船沿着海上丝绸之路远航，将中国的工艺、美学与生活文化带往世界各地，也见证了不同文明之间的交流与互鉴。

为深化中马文化交流，吉隆坡中国文化中心特别策划“中国故事”系列讲座——“瓷源、瓷海、瓷韵——连通世界的中国陶瓷之路”。讲座将以中国陶瓷的发展脉络为主线，结合海上丝绸之路的历史背景，带领大家走进中国瓷器背后的文化故事，感受中华传统工艺之美，以及陶瓷如何成为连接世界的重要文化纽带。

本次讲座特别邀请陈丽芳老师担任主讲嘉宾。陈老师为中国古陶瓷学会会员，长期从事陶瓷文化研究与博物馆教育工作，深耕德化窑与外销瓷研究，兼具丰富的学术与实践经验。她曾参与编著《中国德化瓷史》，并荣获福建省社会科学优秀成果奖；另著有《德化窑（上、中、下）》等学术著作，并发表文博领域核心论文二十余篇，在陶瓷文化研究方面成果丰硕。

此次讲座中，陈老师将以深入浅出的方式，与大家分享中国陶瓷跨越海洋、连接世界的文化历程。

| “The Origin, Exportation and Artistic Expression: The Chinese Porcelain Road Bridging the World” 📣

How did Chinese porcelain journey from China to the wider world, and become a bridge between civilizations?

For centuries, porcelain carried aboard merchant ships journeyed across the Maritime Silk Road, bringing Chinese craftsmanship, aesthetics, and culture to different parts of the world while fostering exchanges between civilizations.

To promote cultural exchange and mutual learning between Malaysia and China, the China Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the Faculty of Art and the Design, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, Selangor, proudly presents seminar: “The Origin, Exportation and Artistic Expression: The Chinese Porcelain Road Bridging the World”.

This seminar will explore the historical development of Chinese ceramics, with a special focus on Dehua porcelain and its important role in maritime trade and cultural exchange. Participants will gain deeper insight into the artistic, historical, and cultural significance of Chinese porcelain, as well as its contribution to global connections throughout history.

The seminar will be delivered by Madam Chen Lifang, Director of Social Education at the Dehua Ceramic Museum and Curator of the Song-Yuan Dehua Kiln Exhibition Hall. Madam Chen is a member of the Chinese Ancient Ceramics Society and has long been engaged in ceramic culture research and museum education. With extensive academic and practical experience, she has contributed to and co-authored publications such as History of Dehua Porcelain in China, and was awarded the Fujian Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences. She possesses profound expertise in the study of Dehua kilns and export ceramics.

Through this seminar, participants—especially university students and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to better appreciate the relationship between ceramics, maritime trade, and world civilizations, while deepening their understanding of traditional ceramic art and cultural heritage.

Inspired by the renowned Ming Dynasty travel writer Xu Xiake, China Tourism Day traces its origin back to May 19, 1613, when he set out from Ninghai, Zhejiang, embarking on a remarkable journey across mountains and rivers while documenting landscapes and local cultures along the way. To encourage more people to explore the world and experience the beauty of travel, China officially designated May 19 as “China Tourism Day” in 2011.

This year’s theme is “Enjoy Quality Travel, Explore Scenic Land", will be celebrated with the main national event held in Guangzhou.

2026年5月19日将迎来第16个 “中国旅游日” 。

“中国旅游日” 源自明代旅行家徐霞客。1613年5月19日，徐霞客自浙江宁海启程，开启游历山河、记录华夏风物的壮阔旅程。2011年，国务院正式将每年5月19日设立为 “中国旅游日” ，旨在倡导旅游休闲理念，提升国民生活品质，推动文化和旅游高质量发展。

今年“5·19中国旅游日”以“乐享品质旅游，共赴美好山河”为主题，主会场活动将在广州市举办。全国各地将同步开展主题月活动，围绕文化和旅游惠民、品质服务提升、入境旅游推广、文明安全旅游等内容，推出系列惠民措施和特色文旅活动，进一步激发文旅消费活力，满足人民群众多样化、高品质旅游需求。

活动期间，各地将持续丰富优质文旅产品供给，创新消费场景，优化旅游服务，联动景区、文博场馆、酒店民宿、交通平台及线上渠道，推出形式多样的惠民举措。同时，通过线上线下宣传推广，向海内外游客展示中国文化和旅游发展的新形象、新活力。

2026 China Tourism Day is about to commence!

The 16th “China Tourism Day” will be celebrated on 19 May 2026.

“China Tourism Day” traces its origins to the famous Ming Dynasty traveller and geographer Xu Xiake. On 19 May 1613, Xu Xiake set out from Ninghai, Zhejiang Province, embarking on a remarkable journey across China to document its landscapes and cultural heritage. In 2011, the State Council officially designated 19 May each year as “China Tourism Day” to promote tourism and leisure, enhance quality of life, and advance the high-quality development of culture and tourism.

The official theme of the 2026 China Tourism Day is: “Enjoy Quality Travel, Explore Scenic Land”.

The main venue celebrations will be held in Guangzhou, while themed activities will take place nationwide throughout the month. Focusing on tourism benefits for the public, service quality enhancement, inbound tourism promotion, as well as safe and responsible travel, a series of special cultural and tourism program and preferential initiatives will be introduced to further stimulate tourism consumption and meet the growing demand for diverse, high-quality travel experiences.

During the celebration period, destinations across China will continue to enrich premium cultural and tourism offerings, create innovative consumption experiences, and improve tourism services. Scenic areas, museums, cultural venues, hotels, transportation platforms, and online channels will jointly launch a wide range of tourism benefit initiatives. Through integrated online and offline promotional campaigns, China will showcase the new vitality and dynamic development of its culture and tourism sector to visitors from around the world.

As the national main venue city for 2026, Guangzhou will highlight the unique charm of Lingnan culture through artistic performances, intangible cultural heritage showcases, and immersive light-and-shadow experiences, presenting a vibrant cultural tourism feast where tradition and modernity meet.
