Through the Malaysia Forest Fund (MFF), efforts in forest conservation and sustainable management continue to safeguard biodiversity for future generations.

With the launch of the National Carbon Market Policy, we are pleased to announce that the Forest Carbon Offset (FCO) is formally recognised and institutionalised as Malaysia’s national crediting mechanism.

This milestone reinforces the country’s commitment to a high‑integrity, nationally anchored carbon market framework. As a government‑led crediting programme, FCO provides a trusted foundation for the development and integrity of Malaysia’s carbon market.
