I was deeply honored to attend the 2026 Elective National Convention of the Labour Party, a truly remarkable and historic gathering for our great party @ ICC Umuahia.

I witnessed a well attended, peaceful, orderly, and democratic convention distinguished by transparency, credibility, and a shared unity of purpose. The successful conduct of the elections, as well as the inauguration of the new National Working Committee, clearly reflects our party’s unwavering commitment to due process, internal democracy, and progressive ideals.

This convention marks a proud and defining moment for the Labour Party, signifying a bold step forward toward stronger leadership, renewed vision, and greater victories ahead.

I must also specially appreciate His Excellency, Alex Otti OFR, the most performing governor, for his exemplary leadership, steadfast guidance, and continued support in strengthening our great party. Congratulations, Your Excellency.

It was a productive time at the Abia Business Roundtable, where His Excellency, Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State, reaffirmed that Abia is open for business and ready to welcome serious investors and entrepreneurs.

In his address, the Governor emphasized the administration’s deliberate investments in infrastructure and human capital as part of ongoing efforts to create a conducive environment for private sector–led growth.

During the breakout session where I moderated Economic Sector 2, which focused on Agriculture, Trade & Commerce, Development Authorities, and Lands, facilitating conversations around policies and opportunities to strengthen these key sectors of the State’s economy.

The roundtable held at the International Conference Centre Umuahia, brought together investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to advance the vision of a thriving and investment-friendly New Abia.

The Office of the Executive Secretary, Abia State Security Trust Fund (ASSTF), commends the maiden Awareness Campaign on Career Prospects in the Nigerian Army, themed “Guardian of the Nation: A Clarion Call,” organized by the Department of Civil-Military Affairs of the Nigerian Army at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia.

The campaign provided a valuable platform to engage young people across Abia State, shedding light on the opportunities available within the Nigerian Army while also addressing some of the common misconceptions about military service.

Such initiatives play an important role in strengthening civil-military relations and inspiring young people to consider meaningful pathways of service to the nation.
