ASEPA JUNE 2026 MANAGEMENT MEETING

The June 2026 Management Meeting of ASEPA was held at the Agency's Headquarters, New Government Station, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, Abia State.
The meeting was presided over by the General Manager (GM), Mazi Dan Ogbonnia Okereke, alongside the three Deputy General Managers (DGMs): Elder Okezie Emezue Ezengwa, Catechist Ambrose Jonah, and Mr. Peter Ekekwe.
Also in attendance were the Agency's Directors, Deputy Directors, Heads of Departments, and Heads of Units.
Key highlights of the meeting included the monthly review of departmental activities, assessment of ongoing environmental initiatives, and deliberations on strategies aimed at strengthening service delivery and enhancing environmental management across Abia State.
The meeting reaffirmed ASEPA's commitment to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Abia.

CANCELLATION OF MAY 2026 MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE
The Abia State Government has officially announced the cancellation of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise earlier scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026.
The Ministry of Environment hereby informs residents and members of the public that there will be no restriction of movement across the state on the scheduled date.
Citizens are therefore encouraged to go about their normal, lawful, and economic activities without interruption.
Despite the cancellation of the May 2026 sanitation exercise, the Ministry reiterates the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment throughout Abia State.
Residents should continue to observe proper environmental sanitation practices in their homes, markets, offices, and business premises.
