Road Construction in Ukwa West: Governor Alex Otti has initiated the reconstruction of the 11.1-kilometre Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza road in Ukwa West Local Government Area, aiming to address the long-standing neglect of the state's oil-producing regions.
2025 Budget Focus: The governor signed a ₦750.28 billion budget for 2025, allocating 82% to capital projects. Key allocations include:
₦55 billion for road projects across all 17 LGAs.
₦4 billion for the Umuahia Regional Water Scheme.
₦13 billion for rehabilitating four general hospitals.
₦14.6 billion for constructing libraries in all 184 wards.
