IPOB PRESS RELEASE
17/09/2018

IPOB humiliates South East Governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo with the 14th September , sit at home order.

The shameful and humiliating defeat suffered by South East governors, Nnia Nwodo’s Ohaneze Ndigbo and other self proclaimed saboteurs, at the hands of IPOB as a result of the successful sit-at-home protest on the 14th of September 2018, will go down in history as the singular most memorable episode since after the war that returned leadership of the east back to the people.

For the first time since Yakubu Gowon and the Fulani caliphate appointed the Ibadan based betrayer of Biafra, a certain Ukpabi Asika, to manage the affairs of the defunct East Central State on behalf the caliphate, we the people of Biafra have on September 14, taken back the governance of Eastern Region from the Fulani appointed Igbo governors and leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo. The humiliation they suffered at the hands of IPOB will accompany them to their graves. No amount of whitewashing the truth through sponsored media publications, will save them from the eternal torment of knowing that despite their huge federal allocations, IPOB defeated them at their own game and in the process revealed to the world that these are leaders without followers. Without financial backing from the north and power of office, they are empty and irrelevant devoid of popular mandate.

We wish to take this opportunity also to place the world on notice that from 15 September 2018, any person or persons, institutions or agencies dealing with South East governors or Ohaneze Ndigbo in matters or affairs concerning the east is wasting their time. Events of 14 September 2018 has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that IPOB is the authentic mouthpiece of the people. South East governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership is not in charge, neither are they in control of the eastern region; IPOB is.

Our people have truly shown and proved to the entire world that IPOB is the only group mandated to speak for the entire eastern region. If South East governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo and other saboteurs feel they are in control of the region, we challenge them to issue a command to see if the people will listen to them or not. They are welcome to test their popularity and acceptability. The masses have no regard for them because they have been exposed as the collaborators and quislings they are. Henceforth they will be booed and heckled whenever they show their corrupt faces in public assuming they are shameless enough to appear in public after this.

Ohaneze Ndigbo and Igbo governors are no longer mandated to speak for the people because nobody listens to them. We know the best they can ever do is to issue meaningless press statements and comments on the pages of newspapers. A quiet revolution led by IPOB has taken place. The old corrupt order has been swept aside. Only a fool will regard South East governors or Ohaneze Ndigbo as significant in the affairs of the east. The masses are no longer interested in their politics of self preservation and betrayal.

We must one again thank the people of Awka Ibom, Abia, Anambra, Bayesa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Delta, Imo, Rivers and diaspora Biafrans for the unalloyed support showed to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents and for the mandate given to IPOB to speak and liberate the Biafran people from this barbaric 'geographic expression' created by the British in 1914. We are proud of you and proud of the support and success we have achieved together so far.

It is important to remind all government agencies, embassies, high commissions, United Nations, European Union, ECOWAS, African Union, governments of US, Israel, Britain, France, Russia, Australia, Canada, China etc, that any proposed discussions with South East governors/Ohaneze Ndigbo is an exercise in futility and a complete waste of time. Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership and South East governors have failed the people and have been legitimately stripped of every relevance. The people have spoken loud and clear on the September 14.

IPOB is now the authentic government of the indigenous populations of the east.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL MEDIA AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB.

It's quite unfortunate that many seems to believe the notion that once the remove from power will recover from the set backs. But the truth is that Nigeria will never be the same again, before 2015 election many revelation came that the people should not vote for Buhari but those revelation were not accepted by many quarter. Buhari is not the problem of Nigeria, the problem is the fulanis agenda to conquer the entire Nigeria including Biafra territory which have been their plan for years back. Buhari came as implementing tool to the agenda. Now remove Buhari from power, it will be a matter of time we will be on this same problem again because another Buhari will definitely raise again. The solution to Nigeria problem is not your pvc, because in the first place Buhari did not get into power with pvc, so the same way he made in 2015 will repeat itself in 2019. Again if you manage to force him out tomorrow it's just a matter of time another jihadist will come up and perfect the mission. We Biafrans want to protect ourselves from this mad cows, taking care of our air space, sea and land borders against any attack. Give us

OPEN LETTER TO YUL EDOCHIE

Dear Yul Edochie,

I hope you are fine as always.

I find it very important to put up this piece of letter as it regards to your journey into Nigeria politics, and more importantly your aspiration to lead the people of Anambra as a governor.
Without any prevarication, I must say that such motive is a good move, but you made the right step at the wrong time.
The truth is that I never took it serious the first I saw your campaign posters and adverts online , because I thought it was one of your usual motion-pictures in the Nollywood movie industry. In fact, I felt less concerned and was only waiting for the time the movie will hit the cinemas. That was it, I never knew it is for real.
I am a concerned brother, and you are one of the most cherished actors in the movie industry whose roles in movies I love to watch, as your character is always exceptional. Obviously I love your exceptional talent in acting, it is overwhelming and I commend you for that.

Actually, I began to give your political ambition an attention few weeks ago, when I started seeing your fellow veterans in the movie industry displaying your election posters and campaigning for you on various media platforms. So as a fan, a concerned brother and a fellow Biafran, I deemed it necessary to bare my mind with you as it regards to your feature in Nigerian politics and most importantly, your aspiration to become Anambra state governor.
Below are my candid advice, and I wish you carefully read it with understanding and possibly swing into action without any form of delay.

Without mincing words, your decision to join Nigerian politics is execrable. Whether you believe it or not, Nigeria was never created to better the life of its inhabitants. The inarguable fact remains that Nigeria was created to exploit and extirpate us, and never to exalt or aggrandize us. The colonialists positioned Nigeria in such a way it will never better the life of its inhabitants for their selfish reasons, no matter how hard you may try to change it. Nigeria was created by Fredrick Lugard, only for the economic interest of the great Britain, and not for the interests of its inhabitants. Nigeria will not work as far as Hausa-Fulani remains part it.
There is a saying which has it that " you cannot teach an old dog a new steps". You cannot be a saint and at the same time be dinning with the devil, for politics in Nigeria is overhauled and deep-rooted in evil. It is a game of " if you cannot be them, then you join them".
Change is not obtainable as far as the name Nigeria is concerned. It is in this respect that I admonish you to join the nearest IPOB family, for that is the greatest step you can take that will bring the expected change which we have all been craving for.

Let me make it abundantly clear; you cannot become Anambra state governor without the endorsement of the Hausa-Fulani monarchs, that is the norm and the only way to gain access to any tangible political post in Nigeria.

You must understand that before you achieve success in Nigerian politics, you must be an Hausa-Fulani loyalist, ever ready to carry out all their instructions without minding how dangerous it might be to the well being of our people. If you do not dance to their tune, then you have to let go whatever tangible political post you might be pursuing. It is useless to venture into the politics of Nigeria that cannot let you do tangible good works for your people. The north is our problem, that is the way the colonialists programmed it, and you cannot reconcile it, because it is bigger than you, or unless the north wishes to let go the power handed over to them by Britain, which is exactly what IPOB is fighting for.

As a young enlightened African mind of the tremendously blessed Biafra nation, I clearly understand that your venture into politics may be of good motive, to bring the long awaited change to the abjectly impoverished citizens of the state. But such is not obtainable with the present political structure of Nigeria. This is why IPOB is working assiduously for total freedom and emancipation of the entire people of Biafra from the shackles of the rancid Nigeria.
Like I said earlier, change is not obtainable with that name called Nigeria, so the change we all need is Biafra freedom. In a free Biafra, we shall determine for ourselves the life we want to live, without interference from external forces. The case of Ibeto Group and the rest of other suppressed Biafra entrepreneurs remains a shining example of what Nigeria have to offer if we make a step of building a better nation for ourselves under the Nigeria state. You must understand that we cannot build a better Biafra nation under the enclave of Nigeria, because we will always be frustrated by evil government policies drafted by Fulani hegemonic oligarchies and the imperialistic masters.
Nigeria is a comfort zone for the few fanactically corrupt politicians and others whose hands are deeply soiled in evil.
The truth is that you might be living comfortably with the system in Nigeria, but think about other millions of people who cannot afford a three square meal daily. There are people who pass through hell to survive the day with one square meal without a hope of how to feed once again tomorrow. How do we secure a future for those who has no hope of a better tomorrow? Those who are living in the dark and wallowing in nocuous poverty. What about those who managed to pass through the University who has no means of survival to mention but a few? The present day Nigeria is not doing and will never do anything to better our lives; therefore it is only Biafra that will save us from this ravaging Nigeria. Honestly, Biafra freedom remains the answer to all our strenuous adversities.

Nevertheless, joining IPOB to work for the freedom of Biafra will create a historical landmark that will forever remain golden in history. And I hope you will not afford to lose the chance. Withdraw your mandate for governorship aspiration and toe the path of freedom of your people if you truly love them.

Notwithstanding, the youths and the entire people of Biafra are no longer interested in Nigerian elections. The only language we understand is Biafra freedom. As a matter of fact, we have vowed to boycott all Nigerian elections until a date for referendum is given to us to vote ourselves out of Nigeria. In line with this, we the people of Anambra are sitting at home on November 18th 2017, which is the slated date for the Anambra state gubernatorial election. We have declared the slated date an "Ofe Nsala Day" and we will all stay at the comfort of our homes and enjoy our spicy ofe nsala delicacies. Although, in Nigerian gravely corrupt election the people's vote does not count, but I assure you that you and your counterparts are likely not to get a single vote on that day because we are not voting. We are tired of voting because we get nothing good in return rather than mass murder and inhumane sufferings.
The same way Enugu people boycotted chairmanship election on the 4th of November 2017, is the way it will definitely happen in Anambra. In democracy, power belongs to the people and we are no longer interested in Nigeria, for they don't value us. The marginalization by the government is rapidly growing on a daily basis, and for that, we have vowed to exit Nigeria. Biafra freedom is our heart desire and that we must get it, come what may.

Biafra freedom remains our greatest priority and you have to toe the path of freedom as we are all doing for total emancipation of Biafra, for that is the genuine heart desire of the people.
This is my message to you. And I hope you give your discerning spirit a chance.

Yours sincerely,
Nwafor Somtochukwu Aloysius

*****”************************************

"Some weeks back, I made a rebuttal about the erroneous and mischievous rants of some of my (our) misinformed NigerDelta brothers. First and foremost let me tell you all a little story for the avoidance of doubt, I’m from the Agbo ethnic group in Cross River State, we are located in Abi Local Government Area which is a coastal settlement and unarguably the smallest LGA in Cross River State in terms of landmass and to a large extent population slightly a few thousands ahead of Bakassi LGA. My fore bearers both on my maternal and paternal side were given the opportunity to serve in then Eastern Nigeria regional government, My grand uncle Dr. S E Imoke of blessed memory was an all influential cabinet minister in the regime of M I Okpara he held the Trade portfolio and was also Finance minister at a time until the unfortunate incident of January 1966 he was the longest serving Education minister his son the urbane Liyel Imoke is the immediate past Governor of our state “Cross River”,during the outbreak of the War he was the Biafran Commissioner for Refugees and Humanitarian affairs.

Aside SE one of my maternal uncles also served as Permanent Secretary in the ministry of health at Enugu, My maternal grand father was also a frontline member of the Eastern Nigeria regional house of Chiefs alongside other minority chiefs like Chief Offem of Ugep,Ndoma-Egba of Ikom amongst others, the Chairman of the very powerful and influential House of Chiefs was Chief Nyong Essien, OBE an Ibibio High chief of a not so prominent chiefdom “not the Obi of Onitsha nor the Igwe of any other powerful Igbo city”.

Outside my family circles, another great Cross Riverian MT Mbu was nominated a Federal Minister of Transport and Navy by the Igbo controlled NCNC,it’s on record that Mbu was Nigeria’s first Ambassador to the UK, UN, and US he is from Boki in Cross River state, Boki is another minority ethnic group just like my native Agboland, the Igbo’s gave him the opportunity to excel ahead of their own worthy sons at that time, he is the father to Senator. MT Mbu jr, another person who is noteworthy is the late Chief. Michael Eta-Ogon who was the Administrator of the oil rich Port Harcourt province in the first republic he is also from the same Boki with Mbu, Thomas Weir Ikpeme an Efik man from Odukpani in my native Cross River was the longest serving Permanent Secretary in the Eastern Regional Ministry of Education, the key point is that the Igbo’s were comfortable with us “the minorities” that was why they entrusted education solely in our hands, not only education but other critical areas like Public Works and Transport etc. NU Akpan an Ibibio man from Akwa Ibom state was the technocrat behind the eastern regional public service, he was the Secretary to the regional government, Anwana Esin a man from Oron in Akwa Ibom state, Oron is a distinct and small riverine ethnic group was the Eastern Regional Minister of Local government, so also was Ibanga Akpabio ,an Annang man from Ukana in present day Akwa Ibom state was the regional minister of Internal Affairs, the former Governor of Akwa Ibom state Godswill Akpabio is his nephew, they were other high ranking cabinet ministers of minority origin like one of our family good friends, HRH. Amanyanabo EP Okoya,Agada III the Ibenanowei of Ekpetiama in Bayelsa State,Chief. Erekosinma of Rivers and a whole lot of others who are too numerous to mention.During the secessionist struggle, An Ogoni from Rivers state, Chief Ignatius Kogbara was Biafra’s Ambassador to Britain.

My dad’s friend Chief. Lekam Okoi ,from Idomi in present day Yakurr LGA of Cross River state was one of Ojukwu’s trusted drivers, he is today a successful lawyer and a former commissioner in the Federal Character Commission, Capt.Akpet a minority from Cross River was also Ojukwu’s dependable aide on intelligence. Secondly for the avoidance of doubt, aside these political appointments, our people enjoyed immense goodwill from the Igbo dominated region by way of social security, my dad’s immediate elder brother received a scholarship from the regional government that enabled him study for a PhD in soil science,he is the first man “arguably” in Africa to obtain a doctorate in Soil science, I have friends across the Niger Delta whose parents, uncles, aunties and relatives also benefited from the benevolence of the regional government. It is also a known fact that our Niger Delta region received it’s last major facelift in terms of infrastructure when we were under the Eastern region. Till the abolition of the regional system of government the Eastern region was the most united region, they was never a recorded case of ethnic skirmish or BLOOD letting between the Igbo’s and other minority groups, during the pogrom of 1966 we all carried the same cross to “Golgotha”, both Igbo’s and eastern minorities where maimed in their thousands across Northern Nigeria by the blood thirsty HausaFulani/Northern folks without blinking an eye it doesn’t really matter if you were Igbo, Ijaw, Efik or a miniature Agbo person. I never really wanted to bore you with reading this lengthy essay but it’s my moral responsibility to tell the truth at all times, I was thought by my fore bearers never to distort history and to always separate facts from fictions. If we were not marginalized by the Igbo’s during the “analogue” age, how then can the Igbo’s marginalized us in this digital age and time?, the fear, misgivings and misconceptions of Igbo dominance by most of my (our) NigerDelta people who are poor students of history are unconscionable and unfounded, moreover there is no family in our region without Igbo relatives and blood so the cry is a much ado about nothing….“Man must know thyself” and “To thyself be true”. May God help us all."

OPEN LETTER TO OHANEZE PRESIDENT CHIEF NNIA NWODO

Dear Chief Nwodo

I have just read the attached Press Release from your Office lamenting the renewed hostilities between Ohaneze Ndi Igbo and the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

I have listened carefully to many of your speeches and I am impressed by your understanding of the issues. Inside me, I do not believe that you and many of the Igbo leaders in Ohaneze deliberately mean any harm to the Igbo people. I can confidently say that you have intended to play the role of a father trying to protect his children from harm.
But you realise that you must be seen to be doing that and that intentions are not enough.

But your greatest failing has been in communication. You have been called upon to lead Igbo people at one of the most critical periods in our history second only to the period of the Genocidal War against Biafra. It was not a civil war. There was nothing civil about that war. As you know too well, the Igbo people are facing a battle for our very survival as a people. The level of hatred against the Igbo person has now exceeded 1966 levels. We face a daily barrage of abuse both in the North and West. We have totally been excluded from the running of the affairs of Nigeria. This is probably the only case in history where decisions affecting fifty million people are made without their participation. Our people are being suffocated from every direction.

The whole Igboland has been turned into one huge concentration camp with military and police checkpoints every other mile. Our people are being harassed and humiliated on a daily basis. Just yesterday, women carrying out a peaceful demonstration in Owerri for the release of IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his elderly parents and for Biafran Referendum were shot at, subjected to tear gas, huddled to the bushes and subjected to indignities. Those women are our mothers and wives and sisters. The irresponsible reaction of the police could easily have sparked an inferno that could have spread far and wide. It is becoming increasingly difficult to appeal to the younger generation to turn the other cheek when they are slapped. Demonstrators who are not causing any violence should be left alone.

Just three days ago, thirty-eight partly decomposed bodies of very healthy Igbo youths probably all in their late teens and twenties were discovered dumped in the bushes following the military invasion of Igboland last September 2017. Hundreds of unarmed Igbo youth were massacred during that invasion. Those young men were unarmed and plying the badly dilapidated roads of Igboland trying to eke out a living for themselves and their families. Those young men were mostly graduates without any jobs. And the response of President Buhari and his army was to kill them after torture fully documented and cut short their lives even before they had started. Young disaffected Northern youths going by the name Boko Haram who are heavily armed with AK47s and rocket launchers are as much as possible captured, disarmed, detained and soon after released by the same army. Why are Igbo youth being massacred with impunity? Does Igbo life not matter to anybody?

You can easily see why the young men of Igboland and indeed Biafra are very disconnected from the Nigerian state and very unhappy. The evils perpetrated by the Nigerian state against the Igbo people and Biafra are many. Biafra yes and there is nothing strange or new about that name. The Portuguese were the first Europeans to come to our part of the world in the 14th Century. When they came, they met a vast stretch of land referred to as Biafra. Biafra stretched from the confluence of Rivers Niger and Benue to the North, the Kumba Region in Western Cameroon to the East, the Atlantic Ocean and Equatorial Guinea to the South and the land inhabited by the Yoruba tribe to the West. They called the Gulf they discovered there the Gulf of Biafra. This Gulf guided explorers for centuries. Gowon and Obasanjo renamed it as the Gulf of Bonny to their eternal shame. This brief history explains why the Portuguese sided with Biafra, truth and justice in 1967 notwithstanding the odds against Biafra.

As matters stand, Igbos are fearful for their lives outside Eastern Nigeria. Even in Igboland, Fulani herdsmen are threatening to attack at anytime. Simultaneously, the Nigerian Army are threatening to resume their invasion of Igboland. At present, Igbos are completely at the mercy of of these Fulani soldiers. Igbos have no protection whatsoever. The determination of the Fulani to takeover Igboland with maximum force, seize our lands and Islamise us is real and in full gear. This same Fulani people have had this agenda of conquest all along while we were fooled and cajoled into believing in One Nigeria.

Both you and I must express our appreciation to our youth represented by IPOB for the peace and decorum with which they have conducted themselves. There is hardly a country where they are not represented and yet not one incident or violence has been reported over the years notwithstanding very serious provocation by Nigerian security forces, police and unprovoked attack by the military against IPOB and its Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in which so many people were massacred and himself and his elderly parents taken to unknown destinations till this day.

It is sad to note that neither yourself nor the leadership of Ohaneze raised any voice to protect your children from cold blooded massacre. Instead, you maintained your silence which could easily be interpreted as a tacit support for the massacre. I was personally shocked at your silence and the silence of the governors of the so called South East. That alone amounted to an abomination in Igboland, to be seen to side with the murderers of hundreds of your children. To make a terrible situation unbearable, the same Nigerian Army invited you and the governors to a meeting in Enugu which issued a statement that IPOB had been proscribed. This was too insensitive.

You can see why the young men and women are unhappy with the role Ohaneze has played or neglected to play. It is not enough that you love the Igbo. You must be seen by your actions that you love the Igbo.

When Lord Harcourt and Lord Lugard amalgamated Northern and Southern Nigeria on 1st January 1914, it was for British Colonial convenience and their desire to pass the financial burden of running Northern Nigeria to Southern Nigeria since Northern Nigeria had nothing. That burden has now continued for one hundred and four years. Is that state of affairs going to continue indefinitely? Would the North have accepted Amalgamation for this long if the parasitic relationship was reversed? In any event, the Amalgamation Proclamation itself stated that it would last for one hundred years. That period expired on 1st January 2014. Therefore, morally, legally and in every respect, our people have a right to demand Independence.

It is unhelpful that the Fulani and their misguided supporters believe that brute force can be used to hold seventy million people down and keep us in Nigeria against our will. We have contributed more than any other group to make One Nigeria work. We have lost six and a half million people to make One Nigeria work. But One Nigeria is not working. One Nigeria has never worked. One Nigeria will never work. The reason is simply because the Fulani idea of One Nigeria is totally different from our own idea of One Nigeria.

The Fulani think and have declared in no uncertain terms and acts that One Nigeria means one Nigeria that they have conquered from the Sahel to the Atlantic. To the Fulani, One Nigeria means unfettered access to our ancient ancestral lands to build new Fulani cities, instal their Emir and subjugate the native population to the Sokoto Caliphate and replace Christianity with Islam and our legal system with Sharia Law. That is their idea of One Nigeria and it does not in any way resemble our idea of One Nigeria. The Fulani will never give up this vision. They see Igboland as the only obstacle they have to the sea. They are impatient to conquer Igboland and invite the Fulani Confraternity in West Africa to come and join them in their latest conquest.

You are a learned man Chief Nwodo. You understand these matters. You know that is what they did in Hausa land and completely destroyed Hausa identity. They did the same in Kwara. These things are historical facts.

Now, Chief Nwodo, do you want Igboland to be the next? You can easily see that the consequences of what is happening today are too far reaching to be taken lightly or to be reduced to talk about your image and reputation and how they are being ‘tarnished’ by IPOB. I wouldn’t mind my image tarnished a thousand times if my people become free in the process.

Chief Nwodo, there was a time Igbo people could consider restructuring but that time has passed. It would be suicidal to consider that option when we have become fully aware of the Fulani Agenda of Conquest. That option will merely buy a little time and postpone the days of evil being unleashed upon our children.

What the Igbo people want is the ability to protect our frontiers, to protect our territorial waters, to protect our airspace, to make our own laws, to practice the religion of our choice, to decide the content of the education our children receive, to take responsibility for the infrastructural development of Igboland and to decide who our external friends would be. We just want to be free. What is so terrible about that?

So many nations have divided along homogeneous lines and released all the energy previously consumed by distrust, hate, rivalry and endless conflict. Our case is not unique in any way. Self determination is a sacred article of the United Nations Charter. We the people of Igboland and Biafra have decided to invoke that Article and assert our rights under it. I am mindful of your declaration in Lagos in 2017 to fight against this Objective.

As the name Ohaneze implies, the Oha comes first before the Eze. In Igboland, the Eze follows the people unlike in some other cultures. What you consider right has become so radically opposed to what your people want. Even God told Samuel to listen to the people of Israel and give them what they wanted, that is, a king. You have already given our people your best. You must do the honourable thing now and step aside forthwith with your entire executive. A new Igbo leadership is urgently needed to steer the Igbo ship during these turbulent times. That new leadership must unite behind IPOB because the Igbo people need to speak with one voice.

Yours sincerely

Chief Sir Barrister Onyekachi Agwu
