ACSS MANDATE SECRETARY, HON BITRUS LAWRENCE GARKI WITH HIS AIDES EMBARK ON THE FLAG OFF TOUR TO THE CHIEFDOMS IN FCT

Today, 26th of October, I officially embarked on the Chiefdom Tour with a flag off visit to Chairman, FCT of Chiefs, Ona of Abaji, HRH, Alh (Dr) Adamu Baba Yunusa (MFR). Afterwards. I consecutively visited the Agabe of Gwargwarda, HRH Alh. Hussaini A. MAM; Sa’ Rubochi, HRH Ibrahim M. Pada; Yaba Chiefdom, who currently are awaiting nomination and presentation of Staff of Office of a new Etsu. My tour was concluded with the visits to Etsu Mi Wako, HRH Alh. Ibrahim A. Usman, Kwali Chiefdom, who also is awaiting nomination and presentation of the staff of office of the Etsu. To facilitate the effective conversation is the Acting Director, CCD, Mr. Kombo Umar, who excellently coordinated the familiarization process that the tour is intended.

With me on the tour are my aides, Garki Youth Chairman (Hon. Emmanuel Danbaki), Community Engagement Team and the FCT Youth Network Representative. Having introduced my youthful and creative aides, I went further to break down the three point agenda the tour is intended to;
- [x] Consolidate the challenges, concerns and issues of the chiefdom, that will be presented to the Honorable Minister for intervention.
- [x] Convey the goodwill message of the H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), HE. Barr. Nyesom Wike (Honorable Minister of FCT) and Hon. Dr. Mariya Mahmoud (FCT Minister of State).
- [x] Familiarize with the chiefdom to create a partnership between the elders' knowledge and the youth's vitality.

In furtherance to the meeting, I propelled the conversation on the current challenges faced in each Chiefdoms.

Needless to say, the current administration has started some initiatives to already combat these challenges. In the same vein, I introduced the Area Council Representatives, who make up the newly appointed Community Engagement Team (CET), as the liaison officers between the ACSS, civil society organ
