🌍 Recap: World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026
As we reflect on this year’s theme — Good psychosocial working environments — here are 3 key things every organization should pay attention to:
1️⃣ Work Design Matters
Poorly structured jobs, excessive workload, and unclear roles create stress and reduce productivity.
2️⃣ Mental Health is Workplace Safety
Stress, bullying, and burnout are real occupational risks — not just personal issues.
3️⃣ Leadership & Culture
Respect, fairness, and supportive leadership are critical to building safe and thriving workplaces.
📌 Over 840,000 deaths yearly are linked to psychosocial work risks globally.
Safe People. Healthy Workplaces. Strong Organizations.

🌍 WORLD DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK 2026
Today, Ogun State Safety Office joins the global community in promoting safer and healthier workplaces.
This year’s theme: “Good psychosocial working environments: A pathway to thriving workers and strong organizations.”
Workplace safety is not only about preventing physical accidents. It also means addressing stress, bullying, excessive workload, harassment, fatigue, and unhealthy work systems.
📌 Over 840,000 deaths globally each year are linked to psychosocial risks at work.
A productive workforce must also be a healthy workforce. When workers feel safe physically and mentally, organizations grow stronger.
Let us all promote workplaces built on respect, fairness, wellbeing, and safety.
Safe People. Healthy Workplaces. Strong Organizations.
