MY VISIT TO THE NIGERIA INSTITUTION OF SURVEYORS, OGUN STATE CHAPTER

On the 24th of January 2023, I attended the Nigeria Institution of Surveyors general meeting at the NIS Building, behind the INEC office, Magbon, Abeokuta.

It was a fruitful visit in which I articulated my vision for unleashing Ogun state's true potential through the six (6) pillars of my manifesto's SHIELD Agenda. It is POssible!

In attendance was my running mate, Dr. (Mrs.) Aishat Keshinro, the Chief of Staff, Dayo Folarin, Head of Admin and Operations, Mrs. Adefunke Omoni, and other members of my Campaign Team.

I am honoured to have received the acceptance and prayers of Ogun state’s oldest pensioner at Nigeria Union of Pensioners’ Meeting (Ogun State Chapter) on Wednesday, 25th January, 2023.

2023 IS A NEW YEAR OF VICTORY!

Today marks the beginning of the year we all have been longing for. The Chinese revolution happened in a year. In a year, South Africa was set free from apartheid and oppression. Likewise this year, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole will be rescued, restored, renewed and given a breath of fresh air by the real owners.

"We the people" have the right to self-determination and by virtue of that right we have the power to determine our political fate and to freely pursue our economic, professional and security aims. The mission to take back the Land of our Fathers is ripe.

2023 is the promised year! Let us rejoice for the time has come. We shall all live to witness and enjoy the dividends of democracy together. Our land is healed this year!

Overwhelming joy awaits us this year as we exercise our mandate to vote in Leaders with credibility, capacity and competence across the board. May 2023 be a year that a new Nigeria will be celebrated across the world.

Ogun LP Gubernatorial Candidate

Last Thursday, I had a very productive strategy meeting with my Gubernatorial Campaign Advisory Council and fellow Labour Party Candidates at the Peter Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Office, Seriki Fadare Plaza, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

We discussed the mobilization of the polling unit agents and canvassers, party-building, party restructuring and our campaign activities towards the 2023 elections.

It was also a reconciliation meeting for us in light of the turmoils leading up to the listing of candidates on the INEC portal.

Together, we achieve more. A new Ogun state and Nigeria is POssible✊

2023: Court Orders INEC to List Labour Party Candidates for State, National Assembly Seat in Ogun

Congratulations to all! Whatever ends well goes well!

I share in the joy and happiness of the day in getting the judgement for the listing of most of us by INEC for the 2023 Elections.

It has been a long, arduous and tortuous journey. It has revealed the strengths and weaknesses of our young fusion as the new Labour Party.

In any creative formation, there are four stages: Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing. Although there were frayed nerves in the process, we thank God we did not suffer any casualties. The signal is that we have to drop our old ways.

This election is a divine project; no human can claim the glory of what has been His design. The Lord has planned that the vehicle or platform that will birth a new Nigeria must be based on integrity and probity. Charity begins at home.

Irrespective of whatever has transpired, we should learn our lessons, cooperate and respect ourselves more, recognizing that Together Everyone Achieves More...

There is a bigger task in front of us....to rescue, renew and reset the state and nation with sterling leadership and exemplary performance by our Peter Obi at the national level and my humble self at the state level.

It is a new day, a new wind, a new paradigm, and a new engagement!
The struggle continues, victory is sure!
Our Labour shall not be in vain.
A new Nigeria is POssible!

On the 30th of November 2022, I was privileged to meet with the 94-year-old Afenifere leader and elder statesman, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, at his hometown, Isanya, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state.

The revered elder statesman is adamant that Nigeria needs more trustworthy leaders because politics without values is a charade. In light of this, he officially endorsed me as the Ogun State Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate. He also reaffirmed his unwavering support for Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party.

To ensure victory at the polls, Pa Adebanjo urged the leadership of Afenifere in Ogun state to collaborate with Big Tent, the Coalition of Peter Obi Support Groups, and the Presidential Campaign Council. Additionally, he urged us, the National Labour Party, to make sure that all INEC listing issues are rectified as soon as possible.

Comrade Bolutife Olayemi, the Chairman of the Gateway Coalition for Peter Obi (GCPO) Support Groups, Obot Essiet Jr., the head of the KSGC Secretariat, and Engr. Akinpelu Shogunle, the Chairman of The Big Tent, Ogun state, were present.

Along with the Coordinator, PCC, Hon. Abel Olaleye, the Chairman, Big Tent, Ogun State, Dr. (Engr.) Akinpelu Shogunle, and the Head of Operations and Administration KSGC, Mrs Christie Omoni, I received the august visit of the dignified members of The National Think Tank for Obi Baba-Ahmed Presidential Candidacy, led by the Former ICAN President, Mr Emmanuel Ijewere, on Monday, November 17, 2022, at The Obi Baba-Ahmed Presidential Campaign Office, Oke Mosan, Ogun state.

The National Think Tank for Obi Baba-Ahmed Presidential Candidacy, which comprises dignified and forward-thinking intellectuals, such as my former boss, the Managing Partner of Deloitte, Mr Emmanuel Ikhazobor, prayed for my success in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Ogun state.
