*Public Complaints Commission, Ogun State, Visits Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority*.
The Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Ogun State, on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, paid a courtesy and sensitization visit to the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA) at its Headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The delegation of the Ombudsman was led by the *Honourable Federal Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye*, alongside the State Director/Director of Investigation, *Mrs. Omotayo A.O.*, and other members of the Commission’s management team.
Upon arrival, the team was warmly received by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, *Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru*, alongside the Director of Legal Services, *Mrs. Judith Agu*, and other members of the Authority’s management team.
The visit was part of the ongoing sensitization and familiarization tour initiated by the Honourable Federal Commissioner since he assumed office. The initiative is aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration, promoting awareness of the Commission’s mandate, and enhancing service delivery across government institutions.
The Managing Director of OORBDA while expressing appreciation to the Honourable Federal Commissioner and his team for the visit, he further highlighted areas of mutual interest and outlined opportunities for strategic partnership between Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority and the Public Complaints Commission, particularly in addressing administrative complaints, improving transparency, and strengthening accountability in public service.
In his remarks, *Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye* elaborated on the statutory mandate of the Public Complaints Commission as the nation’s Ombudsman, emphasizing its role in addressing citizens’ grievances, resolving administrative injustices, and fostering good governance. He also cited several case studies of complaints received and successfully resolved under his administration, demonstrating the Commission’s commitment to fairness, justice, and efficient dispute resolution.
The interactive session provided an opportunity for both agencies to exchange ideas, discuss operational challenges, and explore collaborative mechanisms for improved service delivery to the public.
The visit concluded on a positive and cordial note, with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to sustained collaboration, strengthened institutional relationships, and enhanced service delivery for the benefit of the public.

The Ogun State Office of the Public Complaints Commission paid a courtesy visit to Apple and Pears Ltd Plant, along Sagamu- Abeokuta Expressway, Ogun State. The team was led by the Honourable Federal Commissioner Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, alongside members of the Commission’s management team.
The visit was held as part of the Commission’s strategic engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional relationships, fostering mutual cooperation and enhancing synergy between the Public Complaints Commission and key private sector stakeholders. It also provided an opportunity to formally enlighten the management and staff of Apple and Pears Plant, Ogun State, on the statutory mandate, core functions and the importance of the Commission in promoting administrative justice and fairness in Nigeria.
During the course of the visit, the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, provided a comprehensive overview of the Commission’s constitutional responsibilities, particularly its role in investigating complaints of maladministration, abuse of office and injustice perpetrated by both public institutions and private organizations. Emphasis was placed on the Commission’s unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of fairness, accountability, transparency and responsiveness in service delivery, as well as its dedication to safeguarding the rights and interests of citizens.
In response, the management of Apple and Pears Plant accorded the Public Complaints Commission’s team a warm reception and expressed sincere appreciation for the visit. They acknowledged the critical role of the Commission in promoting organizational accountability and ethical standards and further affirmed their readiness to collaborate with the Commission in ensuring that their operational practices consistently align with established regulatory frameworks, best practices and principles of good corporate governance.
The visit also included a question-and-answer session, during which the management team of Apple and Pears engaged the Commission’s delegation with questions concerning:
* Procedures for lodging complaints
* Scope of the Commission’s jurisdiction
* Timelines for the resolution of cases
* Confidentiality and handling of complaints
The Honourable Federal Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, provided comprehensive and insightful responses to the questions raised, offering clarity on the Commission’s procedures and reinforcing its commitment to fairness, transparency and the timely resolution of complaints. He further encouraged the management team to make use of the Commission’s services whenever necessary, emphasizing the importance of proactive engagement in promoting administrative accountability.
The visit was successful and achieved its objectives of strengthening institutional ties and enhancing awareness about the role of the Public Complaints Commission. Both parties expressed optimism for continued collaboration in promoting justice, fairness, and accountability. The meeting concluded with a photo session involving both teams, during which the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, formally handed over the mandate of the Commission to the representative of the Apple and Pears Plant.

It was a profound honor and joy to attend the 70th Birthday celebration of my immediate predecessor in office, Prince Adegbuyi Adesanya on 2nd April, 2026, a remarkable milestone marked with grace, gratitude, and legacy.
The day began with a Church Thanksgiving to appreciate God’s faithfulness over the years.
The celebration continued with a warm and elegant reception, filled with heartfelt tributes, shared memories, and moments of laughter.
It was a beautiful reminder of the enduring influence of a life well lived and the seeds of excellence sown into many.
Some of the eminent personalities in attendance were Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, Ogun State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya, Former Honorable Federal Commissioner & Current Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Mrs Oluyemisi Somorin-Dawodu, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Mathematical Segun Odegbami, Dr Aromiwura(Precious Phamacy), Barr Feyisara Bolarinwa, Hon Rasaq Dada, and many others.

To roundup the first quarter of the year, I had the privilege to represent Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, FCA, CON, Representing Ogun West Senatorial District, and the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations at the Launch of the second edition of the publication by the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, Ogun State Chapter.
The titled of the publication is “Our Legacy, Our Pride – 50 Years of Monumental Achievements in the Ogun State Civil/Public Service, 1976–2026.”
The event no doubt attracted eminent members of our society including the Executive Governor of Ogun State, ably represented by the Deputy Governor, the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former Governors, Seidu Balogun, Chief Olusegun Osoba, and other revered citizens.
The Senator reassured his commitment to the development of the Civil Service, and support to every projects that enhances intellectual advancement, to sustain quality public service in Ogun State.
He was also Honoured with a Distinguished Merit Award by the body as a mark to appreciate his contributions.
