Towards enhancing access to quality contraceptive services across the state, the Ogun State government, in collaboration with the Society for Family Health (SFH) DISC project, has organized a refresher training for health secretaries and reproductive health coordinators across the 20 local government areas of the state.

The project 10 million “Know Your Number, Control Your Number” is a campaign to screen 10 million Nigerian Adults for Hypertension and Diabetes between 28th October - 3rd November, 2024.

This is to improve early detection and linkages to treatment , hence, reducing the number of cases of sudden deaths in our communities.

Ogun State Primary Health Care Board , in collaboration with DISC project is holding a Co-creation Workshop for the DISC 2.0 project to:
- To introduce and increase State understanding of the intervention.
- Support and Strengthening the State championing and expanded access to FP Contraceptive mix, including accurate reporting to National DHIS.
- Strengthen facility FP Service provision- especially for DMPASC and ensure sustainable outcomes- Health Facility Graduation
- Present the outcome of the State Facility assessment outcomes - Baseline Assessment
- Co-design with State Stakeholders mechanism in expanding FP contraceptive mix and Design an action plan for increasing access to injectables (especially DMPASC) in the State.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. E. A. Ogunsola, in his opening remarks, appreciated DISC project for the opportunity given to the State to be implementing the DISC 2.0 which will help to increase the State Family Planning Landmark and other services in the State.
