Today, I joined His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun for the commissioning of the Gateway International Agro Cargo Airport, Ogun State, officially unveiled by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
It was a proud moment to witness a project that will open up new opportunities for economic growth in our state, Ogun State.

Yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez (BOA), received the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo, on a familiarisation visit to the Council Secretariat.
The visit strengthened security collaboration at the grassroots, with engagements involving officers on duty, PCRC members, and other security stakeholders.
CP Ogunlowo reassured residents that Ogun State remains safe, dismissing reports circulating on social media. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Police Command to sustaining peace and protecting lives and property across the State.
As a government, we remain dedicated to supporting security agencies and enhancing community safety.

*ASLG Engages Itoku Market Stakeholders, Urges Timely Payment of Dues*
The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez (BOA), today held a strategic meeting with the leadership and stakeholders of Itoku Market, led by the Iya Loja of Itoku, Chief (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Ayorinde.
During the engagement, the Chairman emphasized the importance of the timely payment of market ground rent and other statutory levies. He urged all traders within the market to settle their financial obligations promptly, stressing that failure to comply could lead to the closure of shops and stalls.
Hon.BOA noted that the goal is to promote financial responsibility and accountability, while ensuring the continued smooth operation of the market and a conducive atmosphere for business activities.
Present at the meeting were key local government officials, including the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu; the Acting Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Babatunde Folarin Adesina; the Local Government Treasurer, Mr. Awotimehin Tosin; the Supervisor for Information, Education and Sports, Mr. Jimoh Waheed (Ameriso); the Supervisor for Community, Barr. Kehinde Ayodeji; the Special Adviser on Health, Hon. Ogundimu Wasiu; the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Mrs. Balogun Jemilat; the Special Adviser on WES, Mr. Koyejo Olayinka; and the Local Government Revenue Accountant, Mr.Adejobi Olasunkanmi.
The Chairman concluded by calling for the continued cooperation of market leaders and traders in upholding the policies and vision of the local government
