ADIEU KOLA

Progress Kola Solar, members of JOSLA, especially, Ogun State Chapter would miss you. You were a gentle, promising young man. We are just short of words as we write this with heavy hearts. You fought for a better society even though you never knew you would be consumed in an accident. You just had your introduction with a plan to settle down. God knows best as we can't question Him. Your life was short but GOOD. We pray that God would console your family and give them the fortitude to bear the loss. Adieu!

President Jonathan has done his best to protect and strengthen democracy and promote peace.

He justly deserves all the accolades that he has received from both Nigerians and the international community for this.

Certain persons and interest groups may not be happy that his profile has further risen and that his legacy is assured; but they do their country gross disservice when they act so unpatriotically.

Anyone who is engaged in imposing a crisis on the country by any means is not being fair to Nigeria. We can only appeal to the public to be wary of such reckless tactics now on display, which form the substance of an odd, malicious campaign after the elections.

We are particularly worried that since the March 28 and April 11 elections, some persons have continued to work very hard to diminish the Jonathan Presidency.

They need to be reminded that the time for politics is over; it is now time to focus on the in-coming government, with emphasis on national development and moving the country forward.

Change! Change! Change!

If any news medium tells you that "Jonathan demands N2trillion election funds refund audit"

Have you asked yourself where such money could emanate from?

Is Nigeria so terrible that money move so easily and such monies are not accounted for?

Do you realised that N2trn is half Nigeria's budget in a year?

Have you ever considered the credibility of such medium which has turned tools in the hands of politicians?

MY TAKE
Do you know the meaning of 2trillion naira? That's half the budget of Nigeria in a year. How then can an individual spend 2trillion naira on an election.

I wonder where everybody on this platform were, that none of them could get just 1million naira that we can atleast share in this forum?

Even if he did would he be so bold to request for audit in the manner that it is being bandied around? I can smell great mischief in this APC ONE CHANCE bus we have found ourselves.

I fear for this nation, who do we blame now? The media being used? The readers who take everything hook line and sinker? The PDP with non existent media team who keep mute all the time?

"if you believe those rubbish amounts from the punch, you can believe anything. They could not show any evidence or quote anybody. Their reports about GEJ before, during and after elections speak volume. But my fear is, is any PDP challenging this?"

I guess what APC and its media strategists are doing now is to reduce or play down people's expectation, they are preparing ground for themselves. They only want to tell us that the party (APC) may perform below expectation in government and one of its excuse will be PDP/Jonathan has expended the whole treasury to finance his election. We are watching with keen interest.

May liars rot in hell!
God save Nigeria!

I almost thought it was an election, until I realised it was a coup. Nigerians thought it was their votes, but they have again be fooled.

Mtcheew, the khaki Generals cabal only shifted power to the North, atleast Jonathan have spent six years by mistake!
For how long would our dear country be in the reigns of the North?
Ah Naija!

Now that the change has been effected and Buhari is the President, he should start fighting corruption right away by trying Tinubu, Obasanjo and Amaechi. Then I would be highly convinced!

Till then, we remain pawns in the hands of these people! I still wonder how pa buhari would cope with his age!

Change is nothing but false hope! Nigerians have again been fooled!

Fellow Nigerians,
I thank you all for turning out en-masse for the March 28 General Elections.
I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.
Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.

As I have always affirmed, nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. The unity, stability and progress of our dear country is more important than anything else.

I congratulate all Nigerians for successfully going through the process of the March 28th General Elections with the commendable enthusiasm and commitment that was demonstrated nationwide.

I also commend the Security Services for their role in ensuring that the elections were mostly peaceful and violence-free.

To my colleagues in the PDP, I thank you for your support. Today, the PDP should be celebrating rather than mourning. We have established a legacy of democratic freedom, transparency, economic growth and free and fair elections.

For the past 16 years, we have steered the country away from ethnic and regional politics. We created a Pan-Nigerian political party and brought home to our people the realities of economic development and social transformation.

Through patriotism and diligence, we have built the biggest and most patriotic party in Nigerian history. We must stand together as a party and look to the future with renewed optimism.

I thank all Nigerians once again for the great opportunity I was given to lead this country and assure you that I will continue to do my best at the helm of national affairs until the end of my tenure.

I have conveyed my personal best wishes to General Muhammadu Buhari.

May God Almighty continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I thank you all.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR
President,
Federal Republic of Nigeria

Now that Nigeria has been given to Tinubu's APC I can only pray for the Nation! May God help us all!

Our people has again allowed darkness to prevail over light, no doubt the people would get the kind of leaders they deserve. Even with the youwin programme, 14universities, 125 Almajeri schools and many other good programmes of President GEJ they voted him out. Deceit and Propaganda did the magic. They kept shouting CHANGE, with underaged voting and massive rigging in the war torn Northern States , I was alarmed with the bogus figures they came up with. If those who wants to fight corruption got in through such a corrupt election process and spending by corrupt politicians why do Nigerians prefer deceit?

Nigerians Have Decided

Dear Beloved,

The people would always get the kind of leaders they deserve. Today I write you in wake of the results of the just concluded Presidential election. From available data Nigerians have spoken loud and clear. They have shown their resolve to change guard and allow new set of leaders pilot the affairs of our country.

Few days ago, I showed reservations about this move, I still believe in such reservations looking at the people surrounding Pa Buhari. But I believe more in the collective decisions of the majority. For us to continue to exist as a nation we must respect that.

It is important to state equivocally that every Nigerian must respect this decision and take it in good fate. No one is bigger than this country and as such no one should attempt to burn it down. Nigeria was before we were and will be when we are gone.

Let this also serve as deterrent to every politician that beyond the theories of quote, the power of the people is truly greater than the people in power, hence, the president-elect must know that we will ask questions and question his decisions.

I have always know President Jonathan was never Nigeria's problem. He came, he saw and conquered! GEJ remains a man of honour and would forever be remember as a gentleman. His actions is that of a stateman and unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

Congrats Pa General Buhari ! We wish you all the best.

President Goodluck Jonathan has urged Nigerians to exercise patience as they wait for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to collate and announce results of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Jonathan is the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate.

The president made the call in a post on his official page.

“We waited patiently to vote in these elections, now I want to urge all Nigerians to also wait patiently for the Independent National Electoral Commission to collate and announce results.

“We must ensure that we do not get involved in acts that breach our peaceful co-existence that we patriotically demonstrated during the elections.

“May God bless Nigeria,” Jonathan wrote.
