I am deeply shaken by the sudden and tragic news of the passing of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
Anyone who followed his trajectory in public service could clearly see a man deeply committed to the development of his state. He was widely regarded as a workaholic and a technocrat who brought intellectual rigour to governance.
To lose such a capable hand—a stabiliser and loyal ally — is a devastating blow to my brother, Governor Douye Diri, and the entire Bayelsa State Government.
As we mourn his passing, I extend my most heartfelt condolences to Governor Diri, the Ewhrudjakpo family, and the good people of Bayelsa State. I pray that the Almighty grants them the fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss.

They note that the issuance of expulsion certificates is far more than an administrative action. It represents the foundation of PDP’s political rebirth and strategic repositioning ahead of the 2027 elections.
Analysts in the United States observe that these certificates restore full legal protection, reinforce constitutional authority, rebuild internal unity, provide political clarity, strengthen strategic advantage, and significantly elevate the national and international credibility of the party.
