WHO IS UCHE DIALA?
Uchenna Chuwkwunyere Diala is a detribalized and patriotic Nigerian who believes in the unity, indivisibility and promise of Nigeria. Uche Diala believes in the ideology of Integrity, Justice and Truth and has made it his life’s work to build an army of patriotic Nigerians who truly understand and believe that though creed, tribe and tongue may defer, in brotherhood we will and must stand.
An entrepreneur, employer of labour and community leader, Dr Uche Diala who is a native of Umunumo, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State is married with three children and holds a 1995, Doctor Of Optometry (OD) Degree from Abia State University Uturu. He has been in private optometry practice since 1997. He is the Medical Director/CEO of Nu-vision Eye Clinic, Garki Abuja founded in October 2000.
An unrepentant and ardent believer in the greatness of Nigeria, Dr Uche Diala is the National Coordinator, Foundation Against Fraud, Indiscipline And Corruption (FAFIC), a non-governmental organization registered in 2015 to assist amongst others things in the anti-corruption fight in Nigeria, national orientation and social re-engineering. FAFIC went ahead to launch a citizen-driven ‘War Against Indiscipline and Corruption Initiative (WAIC-Initiative) in March 2015. Dr Diala is also the Chairman Board of Trustees and Lead of the CSO, Integrity Crusaders Initiative (ICI).
In pursuit of his passion for Nigeria and patriotism, Dr Diala led other equally patriotic Nigerians to convene the Nigerian Patriots’ Call (NPC) in 2016. This was aimed at further promoting the ideals of patriotism, nationalism, national integration and generally assisting in the nation re-building process.
In 2017 under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration when there was a huge information and communication deficit on the activities and achievements of the Administration in the face of so much negativity and fake news, Dr Diala led some other patriot Nigerians to set up the Think-tank, the Buharists Hang Out (BHO) which relentlessly worked to get the accurate facts and information across to Nigerians up till the end of the Buhari Administration.
In 2022, conscious of the need for a competent hand to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari and to build on the foundations laid, having identified and endorsed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as that competentn hand, Dr Diala adapted the Buharists Hang Out into The Buharists For Tinubu (B4T) Movement, bringing the intellectual slant and capacity into the campaign for the 2023 presidential election.
The Buharists For Tinubu (B4T) Movement has active structures, members and officials from the National, to the Zones, the 36 states of the federation and FCT and most local government areas. Members of B4T Movement worked assiduously to campaign and galvanize support and votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates nationwide.
Dr Uche Diala is the Director General, South East/Igbo APC Progressives Roundtable (SIAPRO), an intellectually driven national collective of detribalized patriots and core and proven Igbo progressives of the APC stock from the South East geopolitical zone and neighboring states whose core objectives amongst others are; to provide a credible civil leadership, to serve as an advocate for the Southeast geopolitical zone as well as a trusted and responsible mediator between the Southeast geopolitical zone, the Igbo nation and the rest of the country.
Dr Diala is a foundation member (since 2014) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Umunumo Ward in Ehime Mbano local government Area of Imo. He is a grass root player and professional in politics who has remained loyal to the party and contributed immensely to the victories and successes recorded by the APC, from 2015 to date.
Over the years, Dr Uche Diala has developed competencies in administration, communication and information management and dissemination. The work he has done as a practicing Optometrist, Health/Safety/Public health consultant, Manager, Entrepreneur and Employer of labor for 26 years as well as in leading frontline organizations like the Foundation Against Fraud, Indiscipline And Corruption (FAFIC) and Integrity Crusaders Initiative (ICI) and national political structures like the Buharists Hang Out (BHO) and Buharists For Tinubu (B4T) Movement in addition to his deep understanding of the complex nature of the Nigerian nation have helped his stature in leadership.
A reliable, objective, dispassionate, independent minded and intellectual commentator on national and public affairs with a credible and respectable voice and platform (online and offline), Dr Diala among others was a member of the Media and Strategic Communications Committee of the 2019 APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Apart from the competencies and experience he brings to the table, Dr Uche Diala, as a detribalized and fiercely patriotic Nigerian who commands the respect and trust of an army of progressives and non-progressives alike across all tribes, creed and tongue who follow and look up to him.
Amongst other beliefs, Dr Uche Diala maintains that “urgent and renewed national citizen orientation and re-orientation and national integration and re-integration are fundamental to unlocking and unleashing the true greatness of our dear nation, Nigeria”.
