As we celebrate Eid al-Adha, I want to personally wish every Muslim faithful and all residents of our constituency a joyful and peaceful Sallah celebration.

Let’s remember the true essence of this season: love, sacrifice, unity, and peaceful coexistence. These are the values that bind us together as one family, regardless of our religious, ethnic, or political differences.

My call to you today is simple: let’s continue to live in peace and harmony. Sustainable development can only grow where there is unity and mutual understanding.

As you celebrate, please also take a moment to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Idah Federal Constituency, Kogi State, and our dear nation, Nigeria.

Praise be to God, the screening exercise was successful!

Thank you all for consistently providing support and standing by me. Together we shall propel Idah Federal Constituency forward.

I strongly condemn the recent disputes erupting between Iyale, Iyano and Ishi communities in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State.

I call for immediate calm, restraint, and dialogue as I’ve directed relevant security agencies to immediately swing into action. Violence solves nothing, only peace and understanding will lead to lasting solutions.

Our thoughts are with every family affected. Let us choose unity over conflict.

Happy Birthday to His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu, Deputy Governor of Kogi State.

Today, I stood with my governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and a number of governors from across Nigeria at the Kogi State Security Trust Fund fundraising event at the NAF conference centre, Abuja.

This was not politics. This was about the safety of every Kogite from the farmer in Idah to the trader in Lokoja to the family in our riverine communities.

I went there to represent YOU – the good people of Idah Federal Constituency. And I made sure our voice was not just heard, but respected. Special thanks to my mentor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his commitment towards the development of our dear state.

It is with a shattered heart and a heavy sense of personal loss that I write this post. I have had to make countless speeches on this sad day, but I struggle to find the words to say goodbye to my brother and my friend, Late Ali Moses Okpanachi (FCA).

Ali wasn’t just a brilliant accountant or a distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) to me. He was family. He was the quiet strength behind many loud victories.

To lose him here in Abuja, far from the familiar hills of Ojapata Ajodi, Agojeju-Ejule, feels surreal. I keep reaching for my phone to call him, only to remember that heaven has gained a soul too gentle for the noise of our politics.

Kogi State has lost a rare gem. The accounting profession has lost a titan. But for those of us who knew his laugh, his firm handshake, and his quiet wisdom, we have lost a piece of our own heart.

Rest well, Ali. You have balanced your final audit, and by all accounts, you lived a life of honor. Please watch over us until we meet again.

My deepest prayers go out to his beloved wife, his children, the entire Okpanachi family, and our people of Ojapata Ajodi, Agojeju-Ejule, and all of Kogi State. We will honor your legacy by striving for the integrity you lived by.

Ejule community has lost one illustrious and intelligent son, Dr Ekele Onalo., who was also my friend and schoolmate . This is a very sad development.
May God Almighty accept your soul, dear brother

Later today, I led the House Committee on Safety Standards and Regulations on an on-the-spot assessment to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in Abuja. We were received by the Director General, Capt. Chris O. Najomo, who briefed us on the authority's safety enforcement operations.

Aviation safety is non-negotiable. Our visit focused on evaluating compliance levels and strengthening the NCAA's regulatory capacity to ensure Nigeria's airspace remains safe.

I commend Capt. Najomo and his team for their commitment to upholding global safety standards.
