The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation, Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), Engr. Olusegun Adesayo, has called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders in the electrical contracting industry to enhance professionalism, safety standards, and regulatory compliance within Nigeria’s electricity sector.
Engr. Adesayo made this known during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Licensed Electrical Contractors Association of Nigeria (LECAN) to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Welcoming the delegation, the NEMSA boss expressed appreciation to the Association for its congratulatory message on his appointment and for the visit, describing it as a reflection of partnership, mutual respect, and shared responsibility toward advancing professionalism and safety in the nation’s electrical sector.

The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission have reaffirmed their commitment to stronger institutional collaboration aimed at enhancing safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and technical standardization across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
This formed the focus of a strategic courtesy visit by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NEMSA and Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation, Engr. Olusegun M. Adesayo FNSE, to the leadership of NERC in Abuja.
Engr. Adesayo further stressed the need for harmonized data management, coordinated incident investigations, joint compliance monitoring, and structured information-sharing mechanisms that will support evidence-based regulatory actions and proactive enforcement.
In his response, the Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Dr. Musiliu Olalekan Oseni, welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed the Commission’s readiness to work closely with NEMSA in advancing sector reforms, strengthening safety enforcement, and improving overall sector performance.
The Commission also highlighted the urgent need for stronger enforcement against the proliferation of substandard electrical materials and unsafe installations, noting that effective standardization remains fundamental to safeguarding lives, protecting infrastructure, and sustaining investor confidence in the power sector.
Both agencies agreed to institutionalize stronger operational collaboration through technical working groups, joint inspection frameworks, regular strategic engagements, and coordinated compliance enforcement mechanisms.

The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening collaboration with the FGN Power Company to enhance inspection processes, enforce technical standards, and promote safety across Nigeria’s power sector.
This position was reiterated by the MD/CEO NEMSA Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation, Engr. Olusegun Adesayo FNSE, during a courtesy visit by the management of FGN Power Company, led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Kenny Anuwe, to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Engr. Adesayo emphasized that strong institutional collaboration remains vital to achieving sustainable growth and improved performance in the electricity industry.
n his remarks, Mr. Kenny Anuwe stated that the visit was to congratulate the new leadership of NEMSA and to reaffirm FGN Power Company’s commitment to closer collaboration with the Agency.
He highlighted that the partnership would focus on strengthening transmission and distribution capacity, enhancing capacity development for operators, mobilizing financing for key programmes, and improving coordination among stakeholders.
