In commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day, the Renewed Hope Education Support Programme, stands as a testament to our resolve to equip our children with essential educational materials and expand access to quality learning opportunities across our communities.
My commitment to the children of Bende Federal Constituency remains unshaken. As representatives, we will continue to make laws that protect their rights, champion policies that expand their opportunities, and ensure that every Nigerian child, has a fair chance to learn, to grow, and to thrive.
As we mark this day, we are reminded that for some families, today is not one of celebration but of pain. We remember with heavy hearts the students who have been violently abducted from their schools in Oyo State, children whose only offence was the pursuit of an education. This unconscionable act is unreservedly condemned in the strongest possible terms.
The National Assembly remains firmly committed to working alongside our security agencies to bring this heartbreaking reality to a permanent end.
To every child in Nigeria and across the world, may your dreams be bigger than your fears, your futures brighter than your present circumstances, and your lives be filled with the safety, love, and opportunity you so richly deserve.
Happy Children’s Day.

On this blessed occasion of Eid el-Kabir, I bring warm felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria and throughout the global Ummah.
This sacred season calls us once again to reflect on the timeless virtues at the heart of our shared humanity; obedience, sacrifice, and faith. May these lessons find expression not only in our celebrations, but in the conduct of our daily lives.
On this day, I urge all Nigerians to embrace compassion and extend generosity to one another, most especially to the poor, the vulnerable, and the less privileged in our midst. I also encourage all to pray fervently for wisdom and sound judgment for our leaders at every level, that they may govern with integrity, vision, and a sincere commitment to the people they serve.
Let us rise above the divisions that have too often held us back. Let us put Nigeria first and work together, in a spirit of unity, toward a nation that is prosperous, stable, and secure.
To all Muslim faithful across the country and beyond, I wish you a joyous and deeply blessed celebration.
Eid Mubarak.

Today in Abuja, as Collation Officer and State Coordinator for Abia State in the Presidential Primary Election of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I had the honour of presenting our official results; a total of 161,005 votes across the 17 Local Government Areas of the State.
In a historic and defining moment, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, secured over 10.9 million votes in the primary elections alone, an overwhelming affirmation of trust and confidence by our party members across Nigeria.
I congratulate Mr. President on this resounding victory and his emergence, once again, as the Presidential Candidate of our party, the All Progressives Congress, ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Renewed Hope Agenda will continue delivering the dividends of democracy and strengthening governance at all levels, expanding economic opportunity, and building the fiscal foundations that states need to drive real development for their people. The results are visible. The momentum is undeniable.
As we rally behind President Tinubu’s second-term bid, we do so with conviction and confidence in the promise of greater prosperity, accelerated infrastructure, deepened reforms, and a better Nigeria for all our people.
The journey continues.

Shortly after the stakeholders’ meeting in Umuahia, I returned home to formally inform the good people of Bende Federal Constituency of my intention to return to the House of Representatives in order to continue the work of service and representation I began on their mandate.
It was truly gratifying to hear Bende constituents from across the 13 wards speak of the impact of the dividends of democracy that are spread across various communities through my representation. Their words were both humbling and reassuring, and further strengthened my resolve to do even more.
This decision is driven by the conviction that there is still important work to be done across the constituency, legislative interventions yet to be concluded, people-centred programmes still to be expanded, and critical reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that require sustained legislative support.
I am sincerely thankful for the love and support I have consistently received from my people, and I remain committed to consolidating the progress we have made under this administration and to fully delivering on the mandate entrusted to us by the people.
God bless Bende Federal Constituency.
God bless Abia State.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Today in Umuahia, we gathered once again as leaders and stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to deliberate ahead of our Primary Elections, set to commence this weekend.
It was indeed a symbolic yet fulfilling moment as we all affirmed the tremendous growth we have achieved collectively as a party. This was the objective we set out to achieve three years ago, and I am glad that brick by brick, we have built a party we can all truly be proud of. Our party has garnered strength not just to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but also candidates across all elective positions in the state.
While applauding all aspirants who took the audacious step of purchasing their nomination forms to fly the party flag at various levels, I also urged all them not to let the outcome of the primaries jeopardise what we have collectively achieved these past few months.
I reiterated that no candidate will be automatically granted a ticket, all candidates will go through either of the two valid pathways: Consensus or Direct Primaries.
Our unity and growth have been anchored on dialogue, agreement, and understanding, and this is the moment we need it most as we forge ahead. I encourage all stakeholders to put our collective goal ahead of personal interest as we embark on this journey together.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing the Abia North Senatorial District, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu; the former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Rt. Hon. Nkeiru Onyejeocha; as well as other leaders of our party in the state who contributed to the success of this meeting.
It is indeed a new dawn for our party in the state, and our victory in the forthcoming elections is not in doubt.

Today, I had the honour of standing alongside my principal and friend, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, GCON, as he formally declared his intention to seek re-election to continue representing the people of Zaria Federal Constituency, Kaduna State.
In a beautiful display of solidarity and support, the people of Zaria turned out in full force, confident, and united behind our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Addressing the gathering, I urged them to once again entrust the Speaker with their mandate, so he can continue and complete the transformational work he has so ably begun.
Having led the 10th House of Representatives with distinction, vision, and an uncommon commitment to legislative excellence, the Speaker has proven beyond doubt that he is not just a representative of his constituents, he is indeed a voice for the Nigerian people.
I congratulate the Speaker on a successful and well-received declaration, and I look forward with great anticipation to the landmark achievements that await the 11th National Assembly under his continued leadership.
Our commitment to service and nation building remains unshaken. As we look to the future, we do so with purpose, confidence, and the solid mandate of the people we are privileged to serve.

Today at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the National Examinations Council (NECO), on behalf of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas GCON, I presented the lead paper calling for urgent reforms to strengthen the integrity, credibility, and innovation of Nigeria’s national assessment system, reaffirming that examination bodies are not merely technical instruments, but critical governance institutions central to national development, economic progress, and public trust.
At 25, NECO deserves both recognition and honest evaluation. Millions of young Nigerians have relied on this institution as a pathway to education and employment, and they deserve an assessment system that truly reflects their competence, commands global recognition, and upholds the standard of merit.
The House of Representatives remains committed to deploying its legislative, oversight, and appropriation powers to modernise our assessment architecture, combat examination malpractice, and build a system that earns the confidence of every Nigerian.
