😭Armed bandits heavily tied to the Lakurawa terror group launched a deadly attack on the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) facility in Maje (frequently referenced near the Tuka/Bakin Ruwa border axis) within Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

😭Critical Details of the Incident Casualties & Losses: One dedicated officer, Deputy Superintendent Sadiq Tahir Muhammad, was killed in the line of duty while trying to defend the outpost. The terrorists also set the entire facility and operational vehicles ablaze before retreating.

😭The Assailants: Local intelligence and security reports attribute the assault to the emerging Lakurawa insurgent sect, an armed group exploiting the dense forest terrain spanning the borders of Nigeria, Benin, and Niger.

😭Operational Impact: The attack caused massive panic across the immediate border communities, pushing many residents to flee into nearby bushes. In response, the Customs Area Controller and military commanders deployed joint reinforcement teams to secure the border corridor and track down the perpetrators.

😭Broader Context of Insecurity in Bagudo LGAThe violent attack on the Customs camp is part of an ongoing wave of border checkpoint incursions targeting federal security agents in the region. Just days prior to this incident, the same armed group invaded Bagudo town and abducted the Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly.
