In dry soil, reforestation is complicated due to the low survival rate of seedlings. The Landlife Company offers a great solution to this problem: the Cocoon. It’s a biodegradable paper donut that protects seeds and reduces the amount of water the plants need in order to grow. With this invention, seed survival rates went from 10% to at least 80%!
