On Wednesday, June 19th, 2025, the General Ward Chairman, Hon. Raphael, convened an urgent meeting ahead of the scheduled session with the South East Wuse Ward on June 20th.
The meeting was called to address and encourage our esteemed councillorship candidate, Hon. Osinachi, highlighting the critical challenges ahead. Hon. Raphael passionately emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among all party members, urging everyone to avoid the divisive mistakes of the past that once threatened the cohesion of the South East Wuse Ward.
He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Hon. Osinachi emerges victorious in the February 2026 elections. He further stressed that the upcoming electoral campaign would be strategic and well-coordinated, with every effort made to secure success for the party.

Following this, our team visited Father Kale, the parish priest of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Wuse Zone 2. The South East Wuse Ward was officially inaugurated on May 10th with a vibrant celebration. Adding to the excitement, our candidate for counselor won the PDP primary election held earlier that day. The ceremony was graced by notable figures including the PDP AMAC Chairman, Honorable Mr. God Abeg; the Acting South East PDP Chairman of the FCT, Mr. Sunday Mark; the AMAC Secretary, Honorable Mr. Sunday; and other FCT PDP members. The newly elected executives received their certificates during the inauguration, followed by refreshments.

Following the resolution of May 1st, 2025, the PDP party held its mock election for the Wuse ward councillorship candidate on May 10th, 2025. The event was graced by dignitaries such as the Vice Chairman of AMAC, Honourable Nasiru, and the Secretary of AMAC, Honourable Sunday. Mr. Osinachi from South East Wuse ward emerged victorious, defeating Mr. Dominic after two other candidates, Honourable Emmanuel and Ambassador Enakamem, withdrew prior to the election. It was a celebratory day for the South East Wuse Ward.

On May 7th, the South East Wuse Ward held an emergency meeting to elect their candidate for the upcoming general primary elections. Following a successful vote, Mr. Osinachi was selected to represent the ward. The members pledged their full support to ensure his victory in the general ward elections.

On May 1st, PDP stakeholders held a meeting where the Chairman, Hon. Raphael, noted that while other areas and wards had already selected their Councillor aspirants, Wuse Ward still had five contenders (down from nine). The purpose of the meeting was for these aspirants to resolve the selection internally and agree on a single candidate by May 9th, ahead of a mock primary. It was clarified that delegates participating in the upcoming primary must possess both a party membership card and a voter's card. Following speeches by the aspirants (represented by Hon. Emmanuel), ward leaders discussed the Wuse Ward Councillor candidacy. Ultimately, it was decided that the aspirants themselves should reach a consensus on one candidate.

Expanded Stakeholders Meeting, PDP FCT Abuja, April 17th
On the seventeenth of April, an impactful Expanded Stakeholders Meeting of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, took place, marked by a spirit of collaboration and determination.
Proceedings of the Day:
1. The meeting was initiated with opening prayers, creating a focused atmosphere. This was followed by the formal introduction of our respected Area Council Chairpersons and dedicated Area Councilors.
2. The State Chairman extended a gracious welcome to all attendees. Following this, the Local Government Party Chairman presented a detailed report, providing crucial updates on local party affairs.
3. Respected leaders of our party offered their considered responses to the reports, contributing to a productive dialogue.
4. The Honourable Gabiya delivered an inspiring goodwill message, emphasizing the importance of unwavering resolve and unity among party members. Acknowledging recent transitions within the political landscape, including the departure of some former Area Councilors and the AMAC Chairman, Honourable Micah (a candidate for the Abuja FCT Senate seat), along with Honourable Isah, Honourable Dobi, and Honourable Abdulrahim, Honourable Gabiya's address reinforced the need for continued strength and focus on our objectives.
An important announcement was made regarding a change in title: the State Chairman will henceforth be known as the Geopolitical Zonal Chairman, effective immediately.

South East PDP Wuse Ward Meeting
(March 13, 2025):
The South East PDP Wuse Ward held a meeting on March 13th, 2025, focused on preparations for upcoming elections. The Chairman emphasized the importance of regular attendance at the bi-monthly meetings for effective decision-making.
Key Discussions:
Opening Suggestions: Chief Obi Rex proposed adjusting the declaration timeline for aspirants to align with the general election schedule and requested that apologies for absence be communicated via the party's online platform.
Chairman's Remarks: The Chairman reiterated the significance of the bi-monthly meetings for collective planning and member input.
Inauguration Preparations: The Chairman acknowledged an apology from Dr. Chiniaobi Ukeh, the inauguration committee leader, and reaffirmed the committee's ongoing work.
Councilorship/Election: The Chairman inquired about the INEC timetable. Chief Obi Rex explained the election is in 2026, with INEC notices expected in approximately nine months, and party primaries anticipated in June. He stressed the importance of selecting a dedicated aspirant who consistently attends meetings and meets all requirements, emphasizing local-level selection for councilor candidates. The Chairman asked interested aspirants to submit written applications, noting that consistent attendees would be prioritized, while also inviting new aspirants to declare.
Aspirant Declarations: Several individuals declared their interest in the councilorship position: Mr. Victor Uzoama, Mr. Nonso Duru (who withdrew support), Mr. Chidi Ibeke, Engr. Munachim Nweke, and Mr. Osynachi Stanley, each sharing their backgrounds and reasons for seeking candidacy.

On October 31st, 2024, the PDP South East Wuse Ward convened at Elder Solomon's house in Zone 1 to deliberate on strategies to support our community during these challenging times. Key discussions focused on identifying potential projects and addressing pressing issues within each Wuse zone. We eagerly anticipate our final meeting of the year on November 14th, where all executives will gather to finalize plans and move forward together.
