*PDP Governorship Candidate Ends Three Year Water Scarcity In Surulere Community With 5000 Litre Tank Donation*
The people of Surulere community in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State can finally breathe a sigh of relief after three years of acute water scarcity. This followed the donation of a 5000 litre water reservoir tank by Engr Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka, the Kwara State PDP gubernatorial candidate, to replace the damaged tank of the borehole serving the community. The borehole tank had been out of use for almost three years, forcing residents to struggle daily for water.
Residents recounted how the damaged facility made life difficult for families, especially women and children who had to trek long distances in search of water. With the installation of the new tank, normal water supply has now returned to the community, bringing an end to years of hardship. The people expressed deep appreciation to Engr Agaka for coming to their aid at a time when they had almost lost hope of getting help.
This gesture comes shortly after the same benefactor donated 50 solar streetlights to the community, a move that improved security and visibility at night. Community members said the two projects show a clear pattern of genuine concern for their welfare. They prayed for his success in his political journey and assured him of their total support at all times.
It will be recalled that the borehole is situated within the family house of the Magaji Ngeri constituency member of the House of Assembly, who is a member of the APC. Engr Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka, the PDP governorship candidate, has continued to extend development to communities regardless of political differences, a quality the people of Surulere say they will not forget.
