โThe leadership of the City Boy Movement paid homage and familiarisation visit to the Hon. Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba SSA Community Engagement, North East, reaffirming its commitment to grassroots mobilisation, youth engagement and the collective advancement of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

โSpeaking during the visit, Comr. Jaโafar Ibrahim Dass, the Director General of the Movement, described the visit as more than a courtesy call, stressing that it was an opportunity to build a stronger working relationship with a leadership that has consistently demonstrated commitment to grassroots political engagement.

Dr.โ Jafar acknowledged the contributions of the SSA, noting that his grassroots mobilization, empowerment and engagement efforts have extended to communities and hard-to-reach areas since the early stages of the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He emphasised that the City Boy Movement is prepared to give its continued support to his office and initiatives.

โโWe believe this is the right time for unity and collective action because our objective is one. We have been part of this journey from the beginning, taking the message from one community to another. But we cannot do this work alone. We need leadership, direction and strategic support. That is why we are here today-to pay homage, establish a relationship and formally solicit your support for the work ahead.โ

โHe further stressed that the movement recognises the importance of collaboration among grassroots actors, youth organisations and political stakeholders in translating the achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration into meaningful grassroots awareness and participation.

โ The SSA Community Engagement, North East, expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a welcome development and a demonstration of the importance of partnership in political and community engagement.

โHe noted that effective grassroots mobilisation cannot be achieved by one person or organisation alone, but through a network of committed stakeholders working toward a shared objective.

โThe SSA also expressed optimism about the growing partnership, while offering prayers and goodwill for the continued success of the movement and its leadership.

โReflecting on previous interventions, the SSA recalled that an empowerment initiative had already been undertaken as part of efforts to support vulnerable members of society and strengthen grassroots confidence.

โHe disclosed that there are plans to sustain and expand such initiatives, particularly programmes targeted at women and young people, with the broader objective of creating opportunities, strengthening economic inclusion and deepening their connection with government policies and programmes.

โAccording to him, empowerment should go beyond the distribution of materials or financial assistance; it should also serve as a platform for building trust, creating opportunity and communicating the impact of government at the grassroots.

โThe engagement further explored the need for coordinated advocacy and public enlightenment on the achievements and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly across the North-East.

โBoth sides agreed that the road ahead requires greater unity, strategic coordination and grassroots-oriented action.

โThe visit therefore marked the beginning of what promises to be a stronger partnership between the City Boy Movement and the office of the SSA Community Engagement, North East, with a shared commitment to mobilising citizens, empowering young people and women, strengthening grassroots participation and advancing the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
