The Women Livelihood Support Project ended in March.
But the real question is: what stayed?
In Plateau State, what stayed are women no longer on the margins of conflict, but leading livelihoods, decisions, and community dialogue.👌
Through this project, women strengthened their economic power and built collaboration between pastoralists and crop farmers, supported by our targeted interventions.
⏩ Cooperatives are running, managing assets, and generating income
⏩Skills are being used to sustain households
⏩Dialogue now helps communities manage tension
From crop residue turned into livestock feed,
to soap, tailoring, and small businesses,
these systems are still working beyond the project.
⏩ 6 cooperatives formed
⏩ 1,000+ people trained.
One shift that goes beyond numbers.🔽
The project has ended, but the impact continues.
It is now driven by the women and communities themselves.
Watch this space for the success stories that will be dropping soon.

Climate data is only powerful when it’s used!👌
Maproom gives free, public access to 30+ years of climate data across all 774 LGAs, including rainfall, temperature, and seasonal forecasts.
Through the Building Agricultural Systems Resilience in Nigeria project, we brought together government, academia, and extension actors in Lagos for a hands-on training led by NiMet experts.
The goal: turn data into decisions to support agricultural planning, early warning systems, and disaster risk management.
Because the real shift isn’t just having data, it’s knowing how to use it.
When stakeholders can plan with localised insights, systems become anticipatory, not reactive.
Where do you think the bigger gap lies - data access or the capacity to use it?

We celebrate these women-led cooperatives in Exland, Ganawuri, Zagun, and Mista Ali communities, Plateau State, for their commitment to transforming agriculture and strengthening local systems.
Through the SPRiNG (Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria) project, we empowered six cooperatives with solar-powered boreholes, turning dry-season plots into flourishing fields and providing irrigation services to their communities, proving that when women lead, systems work smarter.
We also opened accounts and trained them on tech tools, giving these women the power to manage, grow, and sustain their local businesses, creating lasting impact for their communities.
Give to women, gain for communities and entire food systems.
