*AEDC ASSURES NYSC FCT OF CONTINUED SUPPORT*
The Management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), Wuse Cluster has assured the NYSC FCT of continued support in the achievement of the Scheme’s objectives towards national development.
The AEDC Chief Business Officer , Wuse Cluster, Mrs Leticia Ejindu, gave the assurance while receiving the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli, at her Office today.
Mrs Ejindu commended the NYSC for its commitment to youth development and stated that youth empowerment is a shared responsibility that requires partnership between government agencies, corporate institutions, and the civil society.
The Chief Business Officer stressed the AEDC’s readiness to provide necessary technical support towards achieving some degree of comfort for corps members at the NYSC FCT Permanent Orientation Camp, Kubwa.
The NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli had earlier stated that access to reliable power supply at the NYSC FCT Orientation Camp is fundamental to achieving the Schemes mandate of youth empowerment and national development. He therefore, appealed for a sustainable solution in order to ensure uninterrupted activities during Orientation Course activities at the Camp.
On the NYSC FCT Coordinators’ entourage were the Assistant Director Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mrs Felicia Osikwemeh and the Camp Manager, Mr Ibrahim Magirma.

NYSC IS A VITAL PLATFORM FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT – GM FCT Water Board
The General Manager, FCT Water Board, Mr Daniel Audu has stated that the NYSC is a vital platform for youth development which must be encouraged as much as possible.
Mr Daniel Audu made the declaration while receiving the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli at his Office in Abuja, today.
The General Manager extolled the Scheme’s continued efforts in youth empowerment towards national development.
He further pledged the support of the FCT Water Board by ensuring adequate water supply to the NYSC FCT Orientation Camp, Kubwa, especially during Orientation Courses.
The NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli had earlier expressed his appreciation to the FCT Water Board for its ongoing assistance in water supply during Orientation Courses. He however appealed for a sustainable partnership to ensure regular water provision at the Orientation Camp to ameliorate water shortages during Orientation Courses.
The NYSC FCT Coordinator thereafter presented souvenirs of NYSC FCT Publications to the General Manager, FCT Water Board.

FCT HOSPITALS MANAGEMENT BOARD LAUDS NYSC OVER PERFORMANCE OF CORPS MEDICAL PERSONNEL
The FCT Hospitals Management Board (HMB) has applauded the efforts of the NYSC in posting hard working corps medical personnel to its facilities in the FCT.
The commendation was given by the Director- General FCT HMB, Dr Ahmadu Abubakar during a courtesy visit by the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli, at the Director-General’s office in Abuja, today.
The DG FCT HMB expressed his delight at the good will existing between the FCT HMB and the NYSC FCT. He however requested for more Corps medical personnel at medical facilities located outside the city centre.
Earlier in his remarks the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli, stated that the health sector presents immense opportunities for the corps members to gain hands-on experience, contribute to community well-being, and build sustainable careers during the service year.
While commending the FCT HMB for being one of the largest single Corps employers in the FCT, the NYSC FCT Coordinator stated that the purpose of the courtesy visit was to solicit for stronger ties with the Health Management Board and improved welfare for corps medical personnel serving at the HMB facilities.
High point of the occasion was the presentation of NYSC FCT Publications to the DG HMB. On the Coordinator’s entourage were the Assistant Director Corps Deployment and Relocation, Mr Benjamin Akpata and the Assistant Director CDS, Mrs Chidiebere Nzoka.

FCT AG. HEAD OF SERVICE PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR NYSC FCT
The Ag. Head of Service, Federal Capital Territory, Madam Nancy Sebastin Nathan mni, has pledged the contunious support of the FCTA for the NYSC.
The Ag. HOS made the pledge while receiving the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli at her Office today.
Madam Sebastin Nathan expressed her concern and compassion for the youth as well as extolled the NYSC Management for the excellent administrative prowess especially as regards the handling of the large number of Corps Members in the FCT.
In his congratulatory message to the Ag. HOS, the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli, expressed his appreciation of the cordial relationship personified by Madam Nancy Sebastin Nathan mni while serving as the Permanent Secretary, Youth Development Secretariat.
The Coordinator sort for a stronger positive relationship with the Office of the Ag. Head of Service.
High point of the visit was the NYSC FCT Coordinator’s presentation of a congratulatory Card and souvenir to the Ag. Head of Service.
On the NYSC FCT Coordinator’s entourage were the Deputy Director HRM, Mrs Chika Chris-Moneke and the Assistant Director Corps Deployment and Relocation, Mr. Ben Akpata.

*NYSC FCT TAKES HEALTH INITIATIVE FOR RURAL DWELLERS TO ESU BWARI PALACE:*
The Esu Bwari Palace and it's environs have benefited from the NYSC FCT Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), a free medical care programe created to provide free healthcare to less privileged communities.
Speaking at the medical outreach which held today, Monday, 27th October, 2025 at the Palace of His Royal Highness, ESU Bwari, the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr. Ateli in his welcome address, stated that the benefits of the HIRD program launched since 2014, is one of the key initiatives of the NYSC scheme aimed at providing free medical care and health sensitisation to rural and underprivileged communities across the country can not be overemphasized. He added that the Scheme will continue to complement government's efforts by delivering essential healthcare services, one community at a time.
Ably represented by the youth president Bwari Area Council, Comr. Dr. Awoyi, His Royal Highness ESU Bwari, Dr. Ibrahim Yaro (JP) the 17th Sa-Bwaya, chairman, council of Traditional Rulers Bwari in his vote of thanks extended his profund gratitude to the entire NYSC FCT management for their kind gesture towards them. He said the intervention would go a long way in meeting the healthcare needs of the residents, especially those who lack access to affordable medical services.
Furthermore, Corps doctor Okwuolu Sorema led health sensitisation sessions, educating the community on hygiene, healthy living, and prevention of common diseases affecting adults and children especially HIV/AIDs, hepatitis and it's likes In addition to medical care, the residents also received relief materials including food items and clothing, adding a layer of humanitarian support to the health intervention.
The highpoint of the outreach was a medical check up by everyone present, presentation of portrait to the FCT Coordinator as well as dance entertainment by the dance and drama CDs group.

CBN FCT BRANCH DONATES MORE CHAIRS TO NYSC FCT
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), FCT Branch, has made an additional donation of hundred(100) plastic chairs to the NYSC FCT, bringing the total number of chairs donated to two hundred (200).
Representing the Bank, Mrs Andeyaba Magaji-Helen emphasized that the donation is part of their corporate social responsibility as an organization.
The NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli, in his remarks, appreciated the Management of the CBN for the donation and promised judicious use of the chairs.

NYSC DG VISITS NYSC FCT SECRETARIAT
The dynamic NYSC Director-General, Brig. Gen. O.O. Nafiu paid an official visit to the NYSC FCT Secretariat in Maitama, Abuja, today.
The General, accompanied by the FCT Coordinator, Mr Samson Ateli, embarked on a comprehensive tour of the Secretariat's various Branches and Units, where he engaged in a productive interaction with staff members and corps members.
The DG's entourage included the Director Information and Public Relations(IPR), Madam Caroline William Embu and the Ag. Director Special Duties, Alh. Suleiman Abdul.

*CORPS MEMBER, PAUL ASINGBI PROVIDES ICT CENTER FOR APO DUTSEN- GARKI PRIMARY SCHOOL*
Apo Dutsen- Garki Community was treated to a delightful uplifting as Corps Member, Paul Asingbi (FC/24C/7857) provides an ICT Centre and renovated dilapidated classrooms of Apo Dutsen-Garki Primary School, FCT.
Corps member Paul Asingbi did not only renovate 8 classrooms but provided an ICT Centre complete with 10 desktop computers and a standby generator to power the ICT Centre. He renovated the school library, 7 toilets and reconnected electricity to the school.
While commissioning the project, the Mandate Secretary for Education, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, who was represented by Dr. Alhassan Sule of the FCT Universal Basic Education Board; applauded the laudable initiative of Paul Asingbi.
The Mandate Secretary stated that the project is worthy of commendation and a welcome development in the community. He pointed out that the kind and thoughtful gesture will not be forgotten by the people. The Mandate Secretary further urged other corps members to emulate the efforts of Paul Asingbi by building enduring legacies while serving the Nation.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the NYSC FCT Coordinator, Mr. Samson Ateli expressed his deep appreciation to the sponsors of the project, the Ajilesoro Foundation, Osun State, led by the President of the Foundation, Prince Olatunde Danni.
Mr Ateli added that it was the height of patriotism for the Foundation to support the vision of the corps member and the commitment to ensure that corps member Asingbi is able to complete the project.
The Coordinator encouraged other corps members to engage in Community Development Service (CDS) activities in their host communities towards a holistic national development.
The Hakimin Apo Dutsen-Garki , Alhaji Ishiaku Sagbeda, commended the corps member for his foresight. He pledged the support of the Community and promised to take good care of the items provided by Corps member Paul Asingbi.
Present at the Commissioning ceremony were other dignitaries including the NYSC Assistant Director CDS, Mrs Chidiebere Nzoka, the NYSC Garki Zonal Inspector, Mr Charles Onyeakazie.
