Yesterday, I received the management team of Guinness Nigeria Plc and emphasized the importance of regulatory compliance, transparency, and responsible corporate conduct.
Sustainable business growth is built on integrity. It is always cheaper to comply with the law than to bear the cost of non-compliance.
I also commend Guinness Nigeria for its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its continued confidence in the Nigerian economy after 76 years of operation.

Some days ago, I met with leaders in Nigeria’s fintech industry to strengthen collaboration in safeguarding our digital financial space against fraud, money laundering, and terrorism financing.
Innovation must go hand in hand with responsibility. As fintech continues to expand financial inclusion and economic opportunities, we must also ensure that criminal elements do not exploit these platforms.
Protecting the integrity of our financial system is a shared responsibility, and together, we can build a safer and more trusted digital economy for Nigeria.

At the Jerry Eze Foundation Business Grant Award Ceremony yesterday, I emphasized an important message: the EFCC is not only about holding offenders accountable—we also recognize and commend integrity wherever we find it.
As leaders and citizens, we must continue to uphold values that promote transparency, accountability, and nation-building. Supporting honest enterprise and empowering our youth are key to shaping a better future for Nigeria.
Integrity remains the foundation of sustainable progress.

On Tuesday in Kano, I called on our universities to embrace Artificial Intelligence as a tool for strengthening accountability, transparency, and ethical governance.
Our institutions manage critical resources and shape the future of our nation. Integrating AI into financial and administrative systems can help prevent fraud, improve oversight, and restore public trust.
However, technology alone is not enough—integrity must remain our foundation. The future of our universities, and indeed our nation, depends on it.

I was pleased to receive the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and his team on last week Friday as we explored areas of collaboration in strengthening integrity, especially within our educational system.
Our universities play a critical role in shaping values, and we must work together to reorient young Nigerians towards integrity, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
The fight against corruption is not just about enforcement—it is also about prevention and building the right mindset early. Together, we can raise a generation that chooses integrity.

Yesterday, I received the leadership of the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) at the EFCC Headquarters as we explored areas of collaboration in strengthening the fight against corruption and insecurity.
Securing our forests and disrupting the financial networks of criminal elements require collective action, intelligence sharing, and strong institutional partnerships.
The EFCC remains committed to working with all stakeholders who share the vision of a safer, more accountable Nigeria. Together, we can achieve more.

I was honoured to deliver a goodwill message at the launch of the UNODC Country Programme for Nigeria (2026–2030), a strategic initiative focused on combating corruption and illicit financial flows.
Corruption continues to pose serious economic and social challenges, and addressing it requires strong institutions, coordinated national action, and sustained international collaboration.
I commend UNODC for its continued partnership and commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s anti-corruption framework. Together, we must remain resolute in protecting our systems and securing a better future for our nation.
